The next issue of the Multiverse Monitor will probably come out in early June or so, but it's good to get the ideas on the table first and add and change as necessary. These are all the pages I've got down so far:
Pages
0 - Front Cover
1 - Advert
2 - Briefing
3 - Canon character of the issue - Spock
4 - Spock (cont.)
5 - Feedback page
6 - either Feedback continued or the Editorial (moving it up from the next to last page). The Editorial would be on the Kill and Scram debate
7 - Blackout Cleanup - Coverage of the Ypurescue and other events
8 - Cleanup cont.
9 - Advert
10 - OFU-squared - Teaching Credentials through Pain
11 - OFU-squared cont.
12 - Canon scenery of the issue - Hogwarts
13 - The Sue Lord - A New Species of Sue
14 - How to defeat the Sue Lord, by Agent Jacques Bonnefoy
15 - Cover story 4 (no idea what to put for this one; make your suggestions today! or better yet, do something newsworthy.)
16 - Cover story 4 cont
17 - Gossip
18 - Reviews - Missions, goodfics, food, I dunno
19 - Back advert
All of these are subject to change with the introduction of newsworthy material.
Obviously for some of these articles I'm leaning towards certain people - hS and other OFU writers involved in the OFU-squared story for that article; hS's Terri Ryan for the Kill and Scram debate editorial; hermione-of-vulcan for the Spock article; DawnFire for the Sue Lord article; Fish Custard, DawnFire, and other Blackout writers for the cleanup article. And, of course, there's a blank spot for a fourth cover story that can be filled accordingly.
As for adverts, feedback, and gossip, anyone can contribute. Feedback is simply Agents and other staff reacting to the previous issue and/or submitting random short opinions; gossip is Agents and other staff submitting gossip which may or may not be true. Since they are in-universe, Permission is required. Adverts are given by suggestion, picture, and possible text.
If you're interested, give me your email so I can add you to the google doc. Thanks! -

Ah, quick question. Can I just add stuff as I like to the doc or do I have to ask/claim somewhere first? And I'm not seeing some of the covered stories in the doc.
-
Well. by

First you claim a story that hasn't already been claimed. Some of the stories have been claimed but aren't listed as such on the document, so there's that. Others are partial contribution, which means you too can help write a portion of the story, or help edit it, or something.
And no, people just haven't been putting the stories in. It's early days; the deadline's more or less in June and people have finals and testing and stuff. -

I'm not sure that I'd be able to do anything for any of the articles, but I might be able to contribute some bits for the Feedback or Gossip pages.
I do have an idea for another page that might fit in, so I thought I'd share it - a Want Ads page, so that agents could put up things like 'Looking to sell one Amulet of Sueness (recovered from Harry Potter Sue). Drop by RC1984 for more details' or 'Will swap one full set of Dwarven battle armour for one Potion of Growth', etc.
Of course, the Editors would probably have to filter out all of the 'Will swap current partner for less annoying/insane one' type messages.
By the way, I haven't actually got around to commenting on the first issue yet, but I thought it was fantastic. -

(I'm also willing to contribute to the Spock article, but that's another story)
I'd just also like to possibly add in something about the Reader, due to very spoilery reasons that we discussed in an email...oh, wait, I can just do that as Feedback! Never mind. I may contribute some Gossip as well, because that sounds hilarious. Other than that, I'm willing to contribute to/write the three articles that you've mentioned me in connection with (ie, contribute to OFU-Squared and the Blackout Cleanup, and write the Sue Lord Defeat article--I'm assuming you meant the JB one, right? ((...I just realized...he has John Barrowman's initials... o.O That is a wonderful coincidence, unless you planned that, in which case, well done!)).) I may also give you an Advert, if I happen to think of one.
This sounds like so much fun...
Also, my email, which you should already have, but I'll repeat here for ease of finding: dawnfire360@gmail.com

and didn't get to because we were doing an article on Madoka instead, I thought it'd only be fair for her to get the Spock article if she wants it still.
And that sounds good! I'll add you to the doc and you can contribute as you see fit. Just make sure not to write too much for the OFU squared and Blackout ones; there may be others who want to add in their two cents.
The JB was entirely coincidental, but a happy coincidence nonetheless. :'D -

I will take the ring to Mordor! Though I do not know the way…
(Lookit the shiny LOTR reference.)
I will take the Spock article. It's actually good timing, considering that Into Darkness comes out this month. And I'm predicting another fanfic explosion - all the Sherlock fans coming just to see Benedict, then deciding to consider themselves Trekkies, not knowing what a ginormous fandom they're getting into, and then writing fanfiction with absolutely no knowledge of Trek. And then I will have to kill it.
Then again, they could be good fans. I came in with the 2009 movie.
Anyhow, yes, add me to the Gdoc. I believe you have my email. -

Good. I spots some nasty Sueses, precious...Chase them out of my precious fandomses, I will, yes, precious...*insert evil laughter*
I do hope there will be some good fans. And I know they exist--I'm one of them too :) *also came in with the 2009 movie*
You do realize, of course, that a lot of these fanfics are probably going to either make Benedict's character secretly Sherlock, or else save him (assuming he dies)? It's going to be an interesting ride...

Not to mention the inevitable Hobbit crossovers. by

If Cumberbatch's character is secretly Sherlock in the minds of fangirls, Martin Freeman's Bilbo will almost certainly be interpreted as Watson, and if somebody thinks of both interpretations at once, they'd be crashing three mutually exclusive fandoms together at high speed. Not to mention how they're going to fit Smaug into this.
"OMG he sounds like Sherlick maybe they're brothers!"
"No stupid Sherlock has a brother and he's old and dumb."
"But no another brother who is a majrstic dragon!"
"But why wold his brother be in Middle Earth?"
"So that Waton and Sherlock could meet each other and he was turned eveil and into a dragon by teh Ring!"
"Good idea!"
The sad thing is, that's probably going to happen at some point. (sighs) -

Hobbitlock where you have Smauglock and Johnbo acting all buddy buddy for no reason and not for parody purposes kinda irks me.
(There are some good Hobbitlock parodies, like this one comic where Smauglock is trying to figure out who broke into his mountain with Johnbo trailing him and pretending he know nothing of it. That was funny. The smut fanfics... aren't.) -

There's a difference between writing a Hobbitlock crossover because you're genuinely interested in how Sherlock and Job. Will react to Middle earth and writing a Hobbitlock fanfic because you want Smaug and Bilbo to do the nasty.

Permission might not be required for Feedback since the signature is usually a pseudonym that can be used by anyone. As long as you aren't referring to Agents that don't exist yet or something, it's all fine.
Permission is required for Gossip, even untrue gossip, because the Agents submit their initials with that. -

Since "Nita Incog" is only the pen name of the Multiverse Monitor's editor-in-chief, does this mean that she(possibly he) may not be one person, but instead a group of people? Or is it just one person that wants her name to be secret?
The answer has bearing on the last part of my Blackout interlude, because I'm planning a scene near the end that mentions the resurrection of the Multiverse Monitor and don't want to miss that sort of detail. -
