Featured Agents by

You know how, on the front page of the Wiki, there are Featured Agents, right?
OK. Well, much as we all love FicPsych (and I do, really), I think it'd be good if we put other agents up there. (I've pitched this idea on the Talk page, but wanted to discuss it properly.)
I suggest that any agent who finishes his fifth recorded mission should be automatically put up as the featured agent. It's a little like being a WWII ace, after all--survive five missions, and you're a legend. Or a semi-insane Bleeprin-addicted survivor, which is about the same thing.
Also, to avoid skipping agents when a writer writes five missions with more than a single pair of agents, one or more of that writer's agents ought to be nominated, just so it's fair. What do you guys think? -

Of making it "Agent of the Month" rather than week. That way somebody (originally it was July) doesn't have to be on top of it all the time, and there's a better chance of people actually having nominations, the lack of both being why things have tended to linger.
That reminds me, I was gonna compress a couple of the pages relating to that subject into one. I think there are about three right now.

Do we just put them up as featured the next time they post a fic? It wouldn't make too much sense to feature inactive agents that haven't been around the board in five years.
So... Put up a new one once a month, and auto-nominate anyone who posts their fifth (or more than fifth) mission and hasn't been featured before? -

With one caveat: let us not take this to mean that everyone should be striving to post lots of missions just to get featured. I prefer one really good mission over several mediocre ones any time, so there should definitely be room to nominate agents simply for being really well-written and, dare I say, cool.

And I'm not just saying this because my next mission will be #6 ;p

I don't think there's too much danger of people just putting down five mediocre missions; by the time you get to five, there's at least some dedication involved; and anyway, would you really want to be known for writing so-so missions? The logical approach would be to wait until you had five good ones to "publish".

And not just because I have two (sorta three) published missions and another two or three in the works, which makes my agents about to qualify for "ace" status!
We seem to have run out (or at least run low) on "universally-notable" Agents to put as featured agents, and the "5 mission rule" would be a good way to get some lesser-known characters into the spotlight.
Anyway, I'm rambling. But I support this product and/or service!
