Erm... WHY is our wiki blue? Not that it's a bad colour, but I thought we decided to leave it red in order to make it match the Board.

And now it's normal again. Weird... by

I didn't even do anything - it just fixed itself. Strange. Thanks, guys.

Seriously, though, I hate glitches like that, and I seem to create them constantly. -

There must be something up with my browser.

My advice would have been what Miah told you about setting your skin preferences--especially since I noticed that mind had switched to something else a few days ago, and I had to go and put it back to the custom settings. I'd hoped that might fix it for everybody, since that's something I can do as an admin.
However, if it's still not working, I suggest clearing your browser's cache. It may be mistakenly loading old information instead of picking up the current information (though I hasten to add the disclaimer that I'm not an expert on browsers and am pretty much making things up based on the tiny bit I do know).
If that doesn't work, I have no idea. o.o

I'll try. by

The browser cache does seem most likely, now that you say it, especially since I see the blue before I log in. But right now I'm trying to keep track of what pages I've visited on a rather complex site, so I'm going to hold off with clearing the cache until I'm done over there. But afterwards I'll try it, and let you know.
Thanks :) -
I'm fairly certain it's been blue for a while now... by

But I'd have to check the Wayback thingy to know for sure, and I'm far too busy avoiding other responsibilities at the moment.

Ah - I think I know why. Maybe. Help? by

Or at least, I have a clue. The Star Trek wiki has suddenly been changed to the same blue-theme, too, and it used to be black - part of it still is, which makes me think the wiki server has made some sort of change to all its users.
That, or maybe it's just me, somehow. Tech wizards, tell me - could this be a setting on my computer that I somehow tripped by accident? No other webpages I've visited have been affected, and I know enough about computer software to know I didn't change a setting manually. -
Looks fine now. by

This comes as no surprise to me, though. I've noticed that it sometimes "forgets" to display the custom red-themed settings, and when that happens it reverts to the blue default theme. It's always switched back on its own so far.

It could be that your preference setting have gotten set to to override the site preferences. I have mine like that so I don't have to see crazy black backgrounds on some of the wikis I go to.
Go to your User page. Click the second tab, skins. Scroll down at the bottom there is a box that says "Let admins override my skin choice". Make sure it is checked and your settings are saved.
That might not be it, but it's worth checking. -

But I can't find a "skins" tab anywhere. Also, I wasn't logged in when I first saw this blue look, and it doesn't seem to make a difference whether I am or not. But I'll try with the skins tab if you could please tell me where to look?

Look along the top when you are logged in where it says your user name. There is a button that says more. Click it and it drops down a list. The bottom item on the list is Preferences. This brings up User Profile. You'll see Username, ID #, Number of edits, etc. Between all this, and the My Home, User Page, etc tabs there are some small tabs. The first one says User Profile, the one next to it says Skin. Click that and then at the bottom is the "Let Admins override my skin choice" thing that needs to be checked. The Blue is the default, so maybe that is why it is showing up whether you are logged in or not.
Then again, this may not be it at all. I am personally really good at creating interesting faults in technology, so I could see it being something off the wall. -

...Unfortunately, it's still blue. But I never knew that preferences page existed, so that, at least, is progress. Thanks :)
