Everyone seems to be in character and it's not that badly written, so my only real complaint is the horrible things done to the (IMO) awesome background of the original series.
I'm not that far through it, so more Sue-Signs may show up, but apart from the character's origin (fell from the stars and something about "purity"), she's not a Sue yet.
I'm wondering if this is enough to qualify as an "Acceptable Target".

If she's not a Sue yet, (which I'm not sure I believe, being that she fell from the stars) then it is not yet a Suefic. I would say that if everyone is in character and it is not badly written, then it isn't a target yet.
In the PPC we don't worry about every badfic, or even every Suefic, because a lot of it could be made good by a simple beta. We only PPC the worst of the worst, not the kinda bad.
Keep reading and if it gets worse, we can talk.
Also, I'm not much a fan of 5D's but I was a fan of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! and I play the card game, so if you eventually write a mission in that universe, I can probably help with a beta. -
