Great story! My only complaint would be that the story dragged on a bit as you went looking for Sam and Sybil.

...in their first published mission!
What do you get when you allow a werecat into the Watch? Severe character issues for Vimes and Vetinari, severe temper issues for a certain Raider, and enough stress on reality that Teek temporarily becomes the level-headed one.
Also starring a special Discworld guest star, and (fortunately) rather less than a thousande swamp dragonse.
Betaed by Rilwen Shadowflame, to whom we owe a ton of thanks indeed.
The mission, "That Darn Cat," can be found on Lycaenion's mission journal here:

and on Cassie's LJ here:

The original fic, however, is here:

I quite enjoyed it. I had to stop several times to facepalm at the idiocy in the fic.
One note: I believe that Vimes lost the Dis-organizer shortly before he became a Duke. It is a small thing, though.

Glad you liked it; it's always nice to know people enjoy our stuff.
And thanks for the note, as well. I think the dragging is a leftover from the rewrite we had to do - we left in as much of the original as we could, but evidently that wasn't the greatest move. Still, it's taken on board, and we'll try to make sure something like that doesn't happen again.
Lycaenion's posting-fu temporarily failed her, to her shame.
We apologise for the inconvenience. (Or, well, Lycaenion does. Cassie was an innocent bystander and merely provided her link.)
