...it's spelled "Asperger Syndrome".
I hereby request permission. Agent profiles are as follows:
Agent Somariel
Appearance: Somariel is about 5'7", with long red-blonde hair normally worn in a ponytail. She has greenish hazel eyes that are usually seen behind a pair of glasses. She's most often seen wearing dark jeans and a comfy T-shirt, possibly with her favorite sweatshirt. Around the response center, she's usually found wearing slippers, which are changed for sneakers when she has to leave the RC.
Personality: Somariel tends to be a rather quiet person, only entering ongoing conversations if she feels she has something useful to contribute. In spite of this, she will sometimes come out with some completely random thought she just had. A confirmed introvert, she finds being around other people for extended periods of time to be tiring and generally needs a few hours of "alone time" every day to stay sane. As a result of Aspberger's Syndrome, she has trouble reading social cues. She's a voracious reader and a good artist, although she can honestly still see lots of room for improvement in her artwork.
Agent Mira
Appearance: Mira is 5'4", with shoulder-length black hair. She has blue-grey eyes that darken when she is angry. She prefers leather armor over any other type of clothing and is rarely seen without her sword and a pair of knives in arm sheaths.
Personality: As an extrovert, Mira tends to assume that quiet people are just being shy and simply need to be drawn out of their shell, something that annoys Somariel to no end. Mira is very bubbly, although three years with the PPC has turned her from an optimist into a cynic.
A writing sample can be found here: http://somariel.livejournal.com/2225.html. I also have a much longer, non-PPC piece of writing saved to my computer that can be uploaded to Google Docs if needed.
Somariel is going to make an interesting agent. This may be difficult, but I hope you find lots of ways to play up the health issues for humor. There's actually a lot of potential there, aside from it being something we've never seen in an agent before. (Interestingly enough, Asperger Syndrome is not uncommon around here.) So, happy PPCing!
~Neshomeh, hoping other PGs will be around next week, 'cause she'll be busy.

I wasn't quite sure of that one and spellcheck doesn't recognize the correct version, so I tried to spell it phonetically.
You'll get some interesting possibilities out of having an introvert and an extrovert working together--at best, they'll cover each others' weaknesses; at worst, get on each others' nerves. I could definitely see there being sort of an odd couple dynamic going there. Good luck on getting permission.
You didn't, incidentally, misspell anything else. Though, I wonder... are there minis that come from misspelled neurological conditions? Maybe you just created a Mini-Freud! *ponders*
Stereotypically, introverts think extroverts are too loud and extroverts think introverts are too quiet. They'll probably get on each others' nerves most of the time, but they might cover each others' weaknesses occasionally.
But I am no permission giver. You might want to be careful with Mira's name, though. We already have an Agent Mara. That doesn't mean that you can't use it (I think), it just means that you really do not want to hit an "a" when you want an "i".
