Pleased to meet you.
Hi! I recently discovered the PPC series whilst I was patrolling deviantART (I think I found PPC fanart on the page of the author of the "Girls Next Door" webcomic.), and as a former creator of Mary Sues (I was twelve!) who understands their annoying menace, I fell in love with the series immediately. Enough, at least, to create my own sub-division which awaits only Miss Cam's deliberations to be sent to the Google directory of sites.
So...mayIpleasejointhePPCboards? I'll sign the constitution! I'll devote myself to the merciless slaughter of Mary Sues!

Welcome to the PPC! I realize this reply is very late, but here's a bottle of bleeprin and a dagger set from the Raven Armory. I'm an ex-Suethor, too, although they were never for fanfiction and I don't think I put them online.
Hello and welcome to the PPC Posting Board! Have some chocolate and enjoy your stay!
I see you over there, recruit. Tryin' to take it easy 'cos you're new, is that it? Get out there, soldier, we don't have time for initiation! Here's your lasgun and the trenches are that way. And if you hear a shell overhead, I want to see you DUCK!
*wanders off, muttering about orks*
*pokes*
I think that was the only thing you were missing as far as my usual welcoming spiel is concerned, really. That leaves me free to squee at having another GND fan around. ^_^ Pika (who is totally made of win) was more or less the official fan artist for OFUM, which has close ties with the PPC from way back. So... yeah. Yay for GND and for people finding us because of it!
~Neshomeh
Am addicted to GND. In fact, I would love to take a vacation in the GND-verse. :))
welcome and thanks for your eagerness. Have a Sunny.
Thanks! What do I do with it? (Hypothetically. I'm intending to use them all as agent plot-devices in the foreseeable future.)
So I'm not the only one planning to do that? Awesome!
What interesting stuff did you get? :D
Another person joined that day, right after I did, so they got almost all the gifts.
I never really thought about it. I suppose you could just cuddle with her. *shrugs*
NEXT LESSON! Be resourceful! Figure out how to use what you have, where you're at!
Keeper of Menagerie. I already have a cheetah and a guinea pig. In the foreseeable future, I hope to have a mini-hellpuppy.
As you seem so wonderfully eager for bloodshed, I give you a Capillary Towel (you can look it up on our wiki) - use it well!
Also, I see you've already been given most of the Links, I'll throw the remaining ones at you and hope you can catch:
FAQ: For the Board
List of Everything PPC
Guide To The PPC (along with the Mission Writing Guide and the FAQ: For Newbies).
Once again, welcome. It's nice to meet you. :)
They used this in the Wickedverse, right? *griiiin*
This will be useful...:D
Er, well, yes, techincally, but it's not from Wicked - Trojie and I just happened to be doing a Wickedverse mission when we thought it up.
Enjoy! :)
Yeah, it would be very weird if there was this towel following Fiyero around when he was getting beaten. I just read the fic, that's why the mention of the towel sparked gleeful moments for me. :)
Thanks again!
Since you know the dangers of Mary Sues, you should know what this is good for *hands RoseV a bladed yo-yo*
*RoseV tries to "walk the dog" with bladed yo-yo.*
Oooh...spinny...me likes it. :D I like strange bladed objects. :D Thankyou!
I've never gotten so many *interesting* presents since...well, I'm hard-pressed to think of a time when I got *interesting* presents, period. Does the Mary Poppins carpetbag come with "deceptively light weight" setting?
Thanks to the people who left me links to the Wiki! I didn't know there was a wiki until now, and am happily reading Sedri's "Mission Writing Guide."
So...now I shall muck about and report badfics. Rose V. is back in training!
Or something. Welcome to the Board! Please deposit your sanity in the provided receptacle. *indicates bucket marked "Warg Fodder"* You shan't need it here. Also, here's an interesting button.
Fuzzy things help alleviate the insanity.
I read your spin-off, and it looked pretty good to me. So...Rose is actually from the Shakespeare plays? Awesome! Is she Rosaline, the girl with whom Romeo was in love before Juliet and whom the audience has never seen? If so...that's great! I'd like to see her get some of her own back.
Rose V. is Rosaline Capulet (She's a Capulet...do you see a pattern with Romey-boy here? Death wish much?), cousin of Juliet and first "love" of Romeo Montague. I'm going to hang out "in training" here in the PPC before I pursue my spin-off further, but yeah, it would be fun to see her kick some butt. I actually have always wanted to write something with her in it, so when I discovered the PPC series (Team Phoenix especially), I ripped her out of the Shakespeare-verse and now she's slowly going insane.
:D
I shall name the guinea pig Rover. Rover the guinea pig. Now the issue is how to stop my cheetah from eating him...
Pleased to meet you.
Have a large cake (empty of Agent Lux; have you stumbled across that bit of the archives?) and a Mary Poppins Carpetbag to hold all of this stuff.
I've stumbled on the *Lux* issue more than once. I thank you for the Carpetbag, and I feed part of the large cake to my new cheetah! :D
*gives RoseV a PPC bumper sticker*
Welcome to the board!
Hello, fellow! Have a pendant. I stole it off a 'Sue, so it should do something interesting.
Also...If you give Legolust!Sues their own department, that accounts for nearabout half of the LOTR division...
I've been lurking around FF.net LOTR section (I'm active for FullMetal Alchemist mostly.) and Legolas/OC is maybe a large third, but not half, nowadays. I actually have to LOOK to find fics to shoot down! (Maybe the fear of the PPC has worked?) But anyway, I won't continue until I've been a month on the board, as I'd like to follow DA RULZ. :D
I gratefully accept your pendant.
Fair winds!
^^ Awesome to meet you!
That said, we kind of ask for people to stick around here long enough to be known and stuff before they write spin offs.
We've a <a href="http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/PPCWiki">wiki here, which has handy articles on permission and a copy of the list of Spin offs we have, beyond the ones available on Miss Cam's site.
So er yah!
*flees*
Oh, and we also have a chatroom that you are welcome to make yourself comfortable in, evil couch and Bronwyns aside. (This offer is also to all others interested for that matter.)
I am reading the Wiki, and I have read several of the spin-offs (Faves include DOGA, Dept. of Technical Errors, and Bad Slash w/ Trojanhorse and Soul.) I won't continue my spin-off until I am fully acquainted with the quirks of the PPC. *scouts honor*
*takes fic offline*
I graciously accept your chatroom linky! I'm getting more presents than Christmas. I like it here already. :D
Have a generic book!
Have a venomous arthropod!
Hello! Have a seventeen foot long, multi-colored, wool, knit scarf (curly wig not included), and a bag of jelly babies.
Please use them IRresponsibly!
Have you seen the Wiki? http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/PPC_Wiki
Have a stuffed panda that eats, shoots and leaves!
(I also like Pika's comics. :D)
Here, have a yellow spork and a cup of Bloffee. Trust me, you might need it.
Are you a cat person?
Enjoy this genuine WWI British infantry helmet as a welcoming present.
Welcome to the Board. Here's a pair of cufflinks and a [random generic item]. Glad to have you.
Hiya. ^^
First off, welcome, hang around. Too many people introduce themselves and vanish.
Second, traditional welcome gift! Mine is a brain-sized leash and harness set, flame-retardant. Perfect for stopping the mind from wandering.
Third, while I should hate to take the joy of link-showering from another Boarder, I feel this one is of importance: Permission!
though honestly it doesn't look like you'll have much trouble convention and tradition do come about for a reason. :)
(Oh, and it's not uncommon for authors to write a pair of Agents (or more!) but I'm sure you'll find no shortage of volunteers for comissioning, and I'm going to shut up now.)
Good to have you, RoseV. ^^
