I am anticipating/hoping for a series of last-minute entries (including my own), so I'd like people to put them all in replies to this thread to avoid Board Clutter. {= )

Anyway! We've reached the end of March, and I'm already really excited by the number of people who wrote something for my challenge. As of right now, I've already got eighteen spots on my list of people who are getting prizes. Eighteen! In one month! That's really cool, you guys. Congratulations! {= D

For the rest of you, there's still time! You have until your time zone's midnight to post something for the win!

However, some of you have not told me what prizes you want, and I won't wait forever. As I've said before, I intend to do the prizes in order, so it is important that I know what I'm doing. If you want to pass, that's fine, but please TELL ME so I can sort out what I'm doing when and not have any excuse to flail around and be distracted from doing this! I'm giving you until this thread falls off the Board, and if I haven't heard from you by then I'm going to have to write you off so I can move on. {= ( I don't want to do that to anyone, so please respond.

Also, if you have requested/are going to request a drawing, and you're not Makari, you need to send me an e-mail with a description of what you want (and yes, you can attach reference images too if you like). This is so that everything is in one place, to help keep me focused, not because I don't know how to use the Wiki. Plus, the Wiki can't tell me anything specific like pose, or setting, or items you really want included, or the kind of feeling you're looking for in the image. I want to know these things! I thrive on details!

I already qualified on something else. I am claiming the prize of betaing the mess that this mission is probably currently in. :D

This is Miah and Cali's first mission together, and my first attempt at sporking a badfic.

Really, the writing wasn't too horrible in this story, and I thought the story had potential to be good--if it was rewritten as an original fiction with vampires she made up herself. The thing that sealed its fate was her replacing Todd with an Original Character. He is just too cool for me to let that happen to him.

He is a Wraith from Stargate: Atlantis. Currently called Not!Todd. He has an atypical personality for a Wraith, which should make him safe enough to have around HQ. He will require some unique accommodations for his meals.

Thank you! Actually, it was pretty difficult to resist the idea of Morse Code in the story. I mean, seriously. TELEGRAMS? Who the Flaming Denethor thinks, "You know, the Golden Age of Piracy is awesome to write about...but what it really needs is a telegraph system!"?

The stray Suefic eyeballs automatically become Misspelled Monkey chow. Mmm-mmm, good. Though the little critters still have a weakness for fangirl jewelry, Eru bless 'em.

Thankfully. I might just give up on the English language if someone else had that style! Whatever mission my agents have next is going to be a tough act to follow in terms of sheer eye-blinding horror.

Judging by the time stamp on the Board, your timezone is the same as my timezone. {= )

I have read the mission and enjoyed it, and an in-depth constructive review will be forthcoming soonish--unless you'd like to bank it for later, or bundle it in with beta-reading for the epic mission. Either way.

I will say here that the thing about being "slightly younger" than Aragorn bugged me, too. I spent several seconds ranting about it in my head before reading on and realizing that you did, in fact, remark on it.

As for not being able to explain it with 'Sue research failure, I'd argue that you can. It only comes up in the extended edition during that scene with movie!Eowyn's cooking, as I recall, so if she never watched that she could miss it. ... Of course, that still doesn't explain missing that Viggo Mortensen was in his forties at the time of filming, but we can't have everything our own way. {= P

Also, I got all the musical references, and I love you for them. ^_^

Interlude: Ilraen's Journal

Set during *shudder* Spring `08. It's not my fault! Ilraen MADE ME do it! I wanted to move on, but no, he insisted. Something about "important character growth"; I dunno. {= P So, here it is. Hopefully it is entertaining enough to make up for its existence.

Probably explains a few things. I struggled with his voice a fair bit, trying to find the middle ground between what needed saying and how he would say it--in type, which is different from thought-speak--being an Andalite with only the vaguest idea of what that means, surrounded mainly by humans. {= P There probably are still a few things in there that are more me than him, but oh well. As long as it works overall. {= )

I really like this piece, actually. It made me giggle several times, though there were some really touching moments in there as well.
