Well, for those of us who do drink I still say it's a waste. ;) Out of interest, what was the book reference? Can't let things fly by like that.

I just looked on the Wiki and found this on the sidebar:
Yes, it does link to our Wiki.
However: um, what?
Also: anyone care to hazard a guess as to what that picture is?
Also also: um, what?
hS, um-whatted
This could be the reason for so many new people. I must say that it's my excuse for joining. If you don't like it, ask them to take it off. As for the picture, I figured it was something you put there. Mayhaps conjured it up.
...there's a wiki for gaudy multi-colored Warriors fan-fiction characters? I thought those things only existed on Proboards.
Ours being on there probably helps explain all the newbies we've been getting just recently.
I can vouch for that. That's the whole reason I found the PPC. Obviously I can't speak for the other rookies, they may have had maps and compasses and stuff.
Some of us were actually looking for it.
I ended up wandering the void of the internet for months before passing this place. At least I have my towel.
Well, that's good. A towel is far more important than a compass.
You never know when you will need your towel. By the way, does anyone have some brandy, I need to clean mine. *Laughs maliciously*
What? Wasting brandy to clean a towel? Surely you want to use the brandy to drink and just put up with a dirty towel.
That was a book refrence. One that has seemed to go flying over your head. No worries though. What's more, I don't drink. It's against my beliefs...and Im under-age. Case and point, I was just trying to clean the towel of any civilized bacteria. If left unchecked, they might get too advanced. Can't let that happen!

Its from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, an information database contained within a book by the same name.
Ahhh, I cannot recall the washing of towels in brandy in there at all. I'll have to re-read it at some point. Obviously I knew the importance of a towel was from there though.
I may be incorrect, but I am absolutely(mostly) sure that the towel reference if from THGttG. As for the brandy thing . . . not quite sure.
Yeah, I knew the towel reference was from THGttG. :D It was the brandy on the towel that I didn't get. :p
Restraunt at the end of the Universe. Bebblebrox is about to crash landed in THE GUIDE's Hedquarters building, on the baren planet with the machine that shows just how small you are in comparison to the universe (which is based entirely on fairy cake). While en-route, the aid to the CEO of THE GUIDE, cleans his towel with brandy found in the CEO's desk, after loaning it to Bebblebrox. The refrence to the civilized bacteria was actually on Bebblebrox's towel, and the entire civilization of said bacteria is killed when a drop of brandy spills from the bottle onto Bebblebrox's towel (at this point, he was drunk, as usual)
This is all done from memory, of which mine is not always correct. My copy is actually being borrowed by a friend, and so I cannot check every detail as I would like to. If there are any incongruence’s, please tell me. I really hate it when I get stuff wrong.
Ahhhh, well thanks for clearing that up. As I think I already said, it's years since I read the books. I think I was still in college at the time.
Yah, the bacteria civilization thing checks out, I was able to fin it in my copy.
*has no time to do anything but blink, but blinks nonetheless*
Weird.
...by the fact that there's apparently a Pop Tart wiki.
Yes I'd wondered about that....
We don't know why they put us there, or why they chose that image. Not a clue.
The image, however, is one that I cobbled together for a cover for my fanmix. It can be seen here.
~Neshomeh
I guess we're just... that great? Maybe?
(By the way -- should the seven-or-more-part all-PPC soundtrack be on that page, too? Only, like I say, it has seven or more CD covers to it... and I don't know where the full track list is)
hS
I downloaded it from here, in all its transparent, high-res glory: http://texelgirl-stock.deviantart.com/art/Portal-1-83764812
And yeah, I don't see why it shouldn't have an entry--though maybe just a brief mention listing the seven parts on the Fanmix page with a link to its own page, and of course it would be nice to have the full track list if you can find it.
I should post my re-imagined mix. Srsly.
~Neshomeh, who should probably make a List of the stuff she has to do so it stops being overwhelming.
... discovered the Board archives cut off two months after the thread...
...googled everything I could think of...
... couldn't find it in my music folder...
... and then finally realised that the hard drive it'd be on only has a dozen PPC-related files left on it, and found the full tracklist in about thirty seconds. Once I've finished the remaining covers, I'll see about putting it on the Wiki.
