In Irish Gaelic, the word "Craic", (pronounced "Crack") means "Generally good time". It's not uncommon for someone to say that "The Craic was Mighty" after a party or an Oiche Arnaigh ("Fun Night")...
Funny how I'm connecting things in my Cultural/Language/Music/History class with things in 'Real Life'...
Please, PLEASE forgive me if I'm ruffling any feathers, but... am I the only one who's noticed that this Board seems to have gotten noticeably more serious recently? The overall tone of the posts, I mean. It started, I think, back in what I've taken to calling the "Bloody June Days" last year. You know what I'm referring to, right?
Anyway, most of it was concentrated there, but since then, I've noticed less mission plugs overall, more off-topic threads, several threads about political activism (which, while I applaud, has its time and place, and to me that doesn't seem to be here), and even a couple accusations of Suethor-dom.
So, at least to my perspective, there's been an observable drop in the crack? What's going on? I want my crack back...
