Well, I'm not sure I'd be the best person to do it, since I have no knowledge of the Silmarillion whatsoever, though I can promise to do enough research to get a gist of the characters and the story before I look at yours. On the other hand, I do have a decent amount of experience as a beta, a slash writer, and a romance writer, which is what you said you wanted help with.

I'd warn you away from the earlier stories, since they were written years and years ago, and I will warn you that Emerald Fog contains a 'Sue as a (very) minor character, though said story is in the process of being edited and she is slowly dying a gory death.
