I didn't know half of those details, and I've been singing its songs for years. Excellent work, Anamia. Thank you!

Thanks again to all of your for your feedback. I've broken the draft into three articles and done a little re-arranging in order to make things more accessible. The content is mostly the same, though I've already added two new questions and fleshed out several more, and I fully expect to be adding more later. You can see all three articles here:
Guide To The PPC
Mission Writing Guide
FAQ: For Newbies
I was going to put them up as a draft again, but since the wiki can be edited, why bother? If you've got any more suggestions or critiques, reply to this thread and I'll work them in. Cheers :)
I assure you I'll help with the upkeep on them now that they're there.
... Did I ever mention that I went ahead and made a History page back when it was suggested? It's under the name History of the PPC, Part One, which I explain in the article introduction. It's also a reference to Mel Brooks' History of the World, Part One.
Anyway, anyone should feel free to add stuff to that, especially since I can't devote the time to fleshing it out myself. The descriptions of each event should be very brief, only one or two sentences. The idea is just that everything is in order and, eventually, properly sourced so that people can get to the content in question with a minimum of trouble.
I hope that makes sense.

I must have missed this when I was trying to link articles. I'll go insert said link now. :)
And yes, I'll try to flesh out whatever I can, when I have time.
Nice work. They answer about all questions a newbie could come up with, I guess.
One more thing maybe: Is registration at the wiki necessary to add things to the articles ore create new ones?
That could come up when newbies have received Permission and want to upload their Agents biographies and later link missions.
One doesn't need an account on the wiki to edit it. However, it's easier if you do have one and are logged in, for two reasons: a) you won't have to just through any security hoops and b) we can all see who's made which edits.
If there's no known badfic dealing with a particular canon, is it still okay to give it a decent wiki page? I speak particularly of the Cats page, which is very short. Can I go ahead and fill in some of the details, or does that only happen when a story is actually killed and thus the continuum is relevant to PPC?

Yes, please please please flesh it out! That would be great. Please expand any stub you feel like expanding. {= D
However, NEW articles probably needn't be created unless there is badfic and it is relevant, as you say.
And I just said this in a different thread, but I'll repeat it here: I agree with Pads that it is a Good Thing to create and use an account on the Wiki. It makes me personally feel more secure to know who does what, and apparently it's not just me.

If you want to look at it (and please, feel free to do so and let me know what you think), you can find it here. Or you could just search for it on the wiki.

And I made an account the other day, when I was absolutely certain that I would be staying here for a while. I'm anamia there as well, for consistency's sake.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the answer!
