Some people are obsessed. Upholstering your room in Pedowolf is perhaps even more pointless than covering it with Rapeface!Edward.

Anyone else think that there's something wrong with this article?
The author is quite right. I definitely identified with what she (he? didn't check) was saying. I never had the whole 'teenage heartthrob' thing, but I did have a six-foot poster of Orlando Bloom as Legolas on my bedroom door for about a year. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP
Twilight is just another fad-- and yes, the books suck, though I don't know about the movies, but there's nothing wrong with girls having crushes on movie stars. It's just a thing, ya know? Especially the bit where she says "We imagine what we'd say to him if we were more confident," which is actually really sad, thinking about it. I can't be the only one on this 'Board who remembers middle school, and the fact that most guys were every -bit- as out of reach as Orlando Bloom or whoever the guy was at that point. There's something comforting, I think, in thinking about a guy who's unattainable to all the girls in your school, the popular and pretty girls just as much as the geeky, awkward kids.
Guys are allowed to have crushes on movie stars too, right?
Heh. Heh...*awkward silence*
Honestly, The whole thing about famous actors is that they're archetypal(sp?) of something that people will find attractive. Nowadays, it's almost like people are expected to lust after the.
i get the impression people get pissed when boys have crushes on megan fox. I hate the feeling of anyone being attainable though. I hope learning to race cars will help (But first i have to actually get some money together, which is a whole challenge in itself)
What do you mean by hating the feeling of anyone being attainable? ...The only way I can see reading that is that everyone should be out of reach and un-dateable, but that can't be what you mean. I'm sorry, I just don't get what you're saying.
That said, how are racecars going to help? With... anything?
That was a typo. I meant to say i hated the feeling of anyone being out of reach. Supposedly real men are able to conquer anything (Country, person, sporting event, whatever). Also, I need a new hobby and happen to like cars so that's what im aiming for.
Jeez, get with the program! Heh.
Maybe it was a typo? That's my best guess.
You're right, it was a typo

I don't have a problem with it. It places the Twilight movies' stars in the context of movie history as the next generation of teen heartthrobs, which is exactly what they are. I've got no issue with that.
I think the writer of the article probably doesn't know what these teens get up to in fanfic, but why should she?

I don't think it meets the level of professionalism that the onion demands
However, I think if you squint a little as you read and imagine the writer having a sarcastic voice...
