Sounds fun, I've done a badfic reading before but we all played the Mary Sue Drinking Game! Some time later we also attempted the Eye of Argon challenge... *shudders*
Cassie suggested we bring badfics for a reading, a la the legolas by laura one. I thought we should ask which ones people think would be good.
I'm okay with pretty much anything as long as anything with strong bad language or sex scenes more detailed than the one in legolas by laura ("and then he raped her and then laura said 'go away you bastard'") won't end up on YouTube because my kid sister might see it, and then I would be in huge trouble. If everyone agrees not to put the squicky bits on YouTube, I'll bring the My Immortal drinking game from TVTropes. I think I'll also bring along the censored version of "Artemis' Lover" and "soulless shell" - they're from less well-known fandoms than Harry Potter, but they bear so little resemblance to their supposed canons that everyone will find them funny anyway.
... you could also try playing the PPC Card Game. I've revised the rules to a point where it may actually be a workable game.
(This is mostly because I'm not going to get a chance to play it any time soon, so I'd love for someone to playtest the thing. Don't worry, though, I'm not expecting you to)

I've never heard of readings, but they sound like fun. I didn't know there were Badfic drinking games, either. Too bad I live across the sea in a quaint little place called the U.S.
... reading from the worst story you can find until the reader cracks up laughing too hard to continue. We did legolas by laura last year, and on my first go I was laughing too hard even to finish the first word.

The Eye of Argon challenge? How does that one work then?
You get a copy of it and try and read it aloud with a straight face. If you're feeling really confident try it with a high pitched helium voice or while really drunk :D
None of us have ever lasted more then a couple of pages at best!
Bring whatever you like, I'm not fussy. And the only badfics I know of tend to be horribly smutty, so best if I don't pick, I think.
I might see if I can find a suitable David Gonterman work. I've heard bad things about his writing. Apparently in one memorable Sailor Moon fic, his self-insert character shoots the throne of the supervillain Lord Zedd with a normal sawn-off shotgun. Which is on the moon. While "Davey" is on the Earth. And totally destroys it. And somehow manages to not hit Lord Zedd himself, who was sitting in the throne at the time.

wish I could join you guys, sounds like alot of fun. Will travel out of the London area if that is more convenient for you guys (what is a 50 ish Euro after a couple thousand already spent?)
