I just got done with one of these Abusive Parent Plot Device things! Why would ANYONE think that that's a good plot device to use without the absolute most delicate handling?

I KNOW! I'm using one of those in my original story, and I'm STILL constantly fiddling with it. This one probably took all of five minutes to write! And what's with Flippy's lolspeak dialect?

Lolspeak plus APPD. That's not a pretty combination. I haven't ever seen any of the Happy Tree Friends stuff, though, so I couldn't say why anyone would think either of them would be a good idea.
(Also, you read my latest mission (that's what I'm inferring from your post title)? I'd greatly appreciate feedback/comments, either in the thread or on the LJ.)
