What are your favorite webcomics?
I know a lot of webcomics, but not all have really caught my interest for a long time. Generally I like those with adventure (as opposed to slice-of-life), strong continuity (as opposed to joke-of-the-day) and a good balance between comedy and drama.
For the moment my three favorite webcomics are, in no particular order:
Order of the Stick. Probably the most famous and possibly the best Dungeons and Dragons comic out there. At first there's not much of a plot, and a newcomer may be put off by the very simple art (stick figures), but be patient and open-minded, there's a reason why it won five Web Cartoonists' Choice Awards over the years. Some familiarity with D&D (or role-playing games in general) is required to understand many of the jokes.
Girl Genius. A steampunk webcomic featuring "adventure, romance and mad science". Made by a professional cartoonist, and it shows.
Errant Story . My most recent find (I just completed my archive binge), and much less famous than the two above. Influenced by manga and anime. Looks like generic fantasy (magic, Elves, gods, etc), but tries to deconstruct, subvert or lampshade many of the tropes associated with the genre.
All of those webcomics feature a complex setting, a convoluted plot and interesting, morally ambiguous characters.
