Is what is this fic seems to be missing. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4240924/1/KatieinManhattan
Katie, a time traveller from the 21st century, travels back to NYC during the events of "Daleks In Manhattan". She proceeds to join the Cult of Skaro in their plot for world domination, make the Daleks feel brotherly love for each other, and has a truly disturbing pairing with Sec. I'd tackle it, but I have no idea how a pair of Agents would take down a NuWho Dalek. Any ideas?
Oh, and she creates a Torchwood 5, complete with random armourless Dalek.
in a dash of logic. Torchwood was established to protect the interests of the British Empire. There should only be branches of Torchwood established in countries that are part of the empire at the time of establishment of said branch.
Pretty sure that was not the case for 1930s USA.
Unless the Sue could argue that the Empire itself is thinking of branching out.
KILL IT WITH ACE'S BAT!
Make you wonder what ever happened to common sense in this world...
Quick question though: nothing returns to normal until the Sue is dead, correct?
Because I would love to see how close an in-character Sec would be with her then. >D
"What're you going to do, sucker me to death?"
Considering what their plungers do in canon...
I'm fairly certain they could get some of the Dalek-killing guns from the end of S4 NuWho out of the Armory. Granted, it wouldn't be a particularly spectacular kill in PPC terms, but taking down a Dalek at all is pretty spectacular, I'd say.
That, and we can figure out something fancy to do with the Sue instead.
As for Torchwood 5... well, nothing a good-old swathe of bullets couldn't fix.
A dalek tommy gun would work as well. As for the Sue...So many options, so little time.
Torchwood 5 needs a few well-placed thermal detonators/Whoniverse equivalent. Maybe a few of those explosive packs Nine used in "Rose"?
A Dalek Thompson submachine gun? What's that when it's at home?
Dalek tommyguns were Thompson submachineguns modified by the Human/Dalek hybrids, and WERE able to penetrate the shields of a Dalek (their own weapons evidently do work against them). Eventually, and only after concentrated fire from several dozen weapons.
While they would work, the Alternate-Torchwood guns would be much better for a fast kill, and thus avoiding us losing Agents.
and one of my Agents will be using the gun. The other, though, aims like a stormtrooper on glitterstim and would be lucky to lift, let alone fire, the AU gun.
Gotta say, I wasn't paying too much attention in that episode. It was a little... farfetched, to say the least.
