Falls under the category of "It rhymes, so it must be clever!1one!!" (except I think it was one of the first things to fall under that category, it being a rather old word.)

You know, it would actually be interesting to write a character who actually *did* have flame hair... and with all the problems that would thus ensue (ie setting things on fire, being inevitably partnered with a pyromaniac, what happens when they headbutt something... any and all meetings with the Flowers...)
