And God Damn, listening to the Decemberists makes me just really want to give their vocalist a HUG or something. He sounds so sad, and he sings about all this really depressing stuff.

Also, any fans of electronica and/or techno: I would much appreciate some suggestions, since I don't know that much about the genre myself.

They're an awesome 80's German synthmetal/techno band. There's a newer band out with the same name (Do research, ya gitz!) but the original is better. My favorite songs are "Frozen Faces," "Dr. Mabuse," and "P.machinery."

Are you familiar with Pandora? It's a great music discovery website. I've got a few channels there with techno: Daft Punk Radio is, well, Daft Punk (real techno), while Keep Hope Alive Radio is more dance-esque (based around The Crystal Method's work). Dragonstea Din Tei Radio is real electronic dance ('90s, mostly), and E Nomine Radio is some of the fun-ness that happens at the intersection of Gothic Metal, classical choral music, and electronic.

Other music that's less techno but might appear in DoSAT would be E.S. Posthumous and Hyper (see Cascade Radio).

Okay, that's just music I like. But still, it's good music.

Just a note, I am still kinda working on DoSAT stuff. It's very, very backburner thanks to school, work, and life in general, but please don't make additions totally impossible.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to make good use of that Pandora site, I know it.

Also, I have no intent of making additions to DoSAT impossible (nor any real idea how to go about doing that if I did). We don't have enough techpeople as it is.

By the way. I've been writing a short piece (1500-odd words) to both give myself a better idea of the character and to act as an introduction to him. Just a quick dialogue between Agent Narc and another tech. What I wanted to ask was, can I use Dann as that other tech? Thought I should ask you before jumping right in.

Universal statements like "the only other tech working for DoSAT" are pretty much the only thing I can think of that would make additions impossible.

Anyways, go ahead, dive in. Dann is probably senior tech by now, but he's crazy enough not to notice.

Wrapped it up nice and fast. I knew where this story wanted to go from the start, so it didn't take long.

Technically, it's designed to take place at about the time I become viable to ask for permission, according to the history I thought up for the character.
