plus anyone else who encounters Bad Slash where characters are frequently emasculated.

Weepy Uke Syndrome - as defined by zeffyface, with some assistance from saciel, nights_fang and delywnmarch

For those that don't want to go to fanficrants, here's the definition in full:

Weepy Uke Syndrome
Noun

An occurrence in slash fanfiction, in which a character suddenly undergoes a change in personality to become weak, overemotional, and submissive. This is typically seen in counterpoint to the other, purely dominant half of the desired pairing.

The syndrome can be frequently seen in couples who are equally strong-willed in canon. Theoretically the writer or such couples believes that all gay pairings must have a 100% uke and 100% seme, with no reversal, and thus changes one of them to fit their idea of 'uke'.

There are many other occurrences, all in varying degrees of severity.

Beginning symptoms include but are not limited to: excessive crying, blushing, stuttering, lack of willpower, loss of strength and common fighting sense, clinginess, fainting, and never dreaming of topping.

More severe cases involve: an innate knowledge of cooking and/or housework, a sudden change in body structure to a more feminine and slender build, a sudden innocence and obliviousness to all sexuality around them and any attraction to them, a decrease in size of their manhood, a tendency to cross dress in frilly maid/nurse/kink outfits, an inability to do any canon athletics including getting jars from high shelves, and excessive overreacting in high voices.

The afflicted WUS sufferer's symptoms have a tendency to mold him to his partner and make him utterly helpless without. See Damsel in Distress (DID).

Those infected with WUS are more susceptible to rape, wangst, and mpreg.
