So I was doing a search for fifties advertisements, and I came across a book cover. This isn't the exact one, but the one sported by Wikipedia:
And of course I thought of the PPC. I may have to read this book someday, just on principle. Does anyone else know about it?
~Neshomeh, trying to contribute to the PPC grassroots movement.
I just read the plot summary on Wikipedia, though, and it certainly sounds like a very urple fic.
Why did this book remind you of the PPC? I don't think I see the connection.

...or are we experiencing a lot of non-Boarder posting people who I really should be being afraid of instead of saying this?
First the Nameless Admin, now the SO; who's behind this?[!]
Rest assured that I am a fairly experienced PPC boarder myself - I use "The Nameless Admin" for administrative posts rather than my usual username specifically to separate the two functions. I don't want people kowtowing to the usual me because I'm also TNA, and I also don't want people to try to blackmail me. I got admin powers when the ypur invasion was going on, so I was trying to avoid being a target.
My identity isn't that big of a deal really, hiding behind TNA just gives me a touch of protection against the casual observer. With a little bit of research here on the board, I'm sure you could work out who I am. Just please don't post it for the world to see, ok?
And no, I'm not the SO. I'm here in the real world, not in HQ. While a link does exist between the two, I am not it.
I, at least, am trying to not be something to be afraid of - I'm just the janitor, cleaning up after the occasional idiot pours junk all over our nice shiny board. As for the SO, he's been posting every now and then for as long as I've been on the board. He's certainly not harmless, but he's on our side.
I hope that helps.
No matter which one's true, you're still to be feared.
Just pretend you haven't noticed. It'll be better for everyone in the long run.

She wouldn't have said it on purpose to upset you.
*mutters audibly and quite snarkily* Not if she wanted to keep her job and sanity, anyway.
...asked my mom about it. Apparently it's also a made-for-TV-miniseries. And is very dramatic. *shrug*
He was considered a lust object in his day. Series is out on dvd.
