Welcome! Lovely to see new people - or old ones, as the case may be, but I've only been here for about a year (...wow. I only just realised that), so you're new to me.

Reposting this from the other place:
    "

Hi all, I didn't exactly get to introduce myself on the other place, well not properly anyway what with the "Does anyone except that spambot post here?" and the "No, but we've moved here temporarily" and the "Hey, you're that guy from (fill in the blank)!", heh. So, yeah, I'm Kyle. I actually joined this before years ago, but I eventually lost interest, especially since the place was all but dead at the time and technically I'd never gotten permission to do anything PPC-like.

I'll go for the making agents and getting permission some other time, since at the moment I'm dealing with some writer's block, but I just thought I'd introduce myself proper-like and show that I wasn't some random guy who popped in out of morbid curiosity about if it was dead or not. Oh, also, does anyone know how I can get in contact with the people in charge of the movie? I've been meaning to look to see if there were any open roles for voice actors left, as it seemed fairly interesting, but I kinda...lost their emails, haha. Help would be appreciated on this, thank you for your time."

Also, I was told to check the "Ypur Invasion" article on the wiki to understand what's going on, but there is no such article. I saw the RP, read some of it, but assumed it was a joke and not a serious thing like the Sue invasion was. This is another thing that I would like information on, if that is a reasonable request.

    • *bows* Hello and welcome! by on 2008-10-30 16:59:00 UTC Reply

I know this is rather late, but I have to take whatever internet access I can get at the moment. So, yes. Welcomes. Here, have a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object.

As for the Movie- I happen to be one of the co-ordinators, so I guess I'd be someone to talk to about it- yes, there are open roles available, unless they've been filled while I was away. I get the impression that you're of the male persuasion, so we have Redd, Sparky and Denny for you to take a bash at, if you'd like to. The deadline is tomorrow, but you are a very, very latecomer, so I expect we could make an exception if our sound tech can make do without those lines for a short while longer.

      Many thanks, and welcome again.

Thanks for the welcomes. I actually talked to Trolljie about this yesterday, and she assigned me those roles. She said she'd be sending me the scripts (one tailored to show which parts I have to do, and the other is the whole thing) either then or today. I'll do them as soon as I can, and hope I can perform in a satisfactory manner.

*offers chocolate to the veryvery nice person who's helping out two slightly floundering PPCers*

Oh, and just for the record? It's Trojie, not Trolljie. Trojie is the PPCer/Agent who takes on Bad Slash and insanely huge movie projects with courage and fortitude (and a lot of prodding and reminding from others XD). Trolljie is... er... *shudder* a troller?

          ...ohdearEru.

A trolling mini-Boarder! *throws a net over it* Anyone willing to help me keep this under control?! It bites!

          • Oh. by on 2008-10-30 22:17:00 UTC Reply

Ah, crap. Sorry. :( I was tired, slipped up. *beats the heck out of the mini-Boarder, throws it in the mini-adoption place I read about in the wiki* There. Under control, sorry. But yeah, I won't make that mistake again. Once I actually get the scripts I'll start work on my lines. I'm a bit of a perfectionist about it, but I'll get them in ASAP. Again, sorry about the confusion. I always see an "l" between the "o" and "j" for some reason.

            • *grins* Perfectly all right. by on 2008-10-31 00:42:00 UTC Reply

*pokes Trolljie curiously* I always wanted a mini-Boarder. Though I think the Boarder whose mini it is has jurisdiction... Trojie? Mini of yours if you want it.

Huh, so it's basically an RPed version of the spammer. Alright then.

        • Basically, yes. by on 2008-10-29 22:20:00 UTC Reply

We were all so frustrated, we had to do SOMETHING. So we turned into a PPC manifestation.

          • Hah by on 2008-10-29 22:22:00 UTC Reply

Fair enough, I was just curious. Interesting way to deal with it though, I thought the whole thing was a joke at first (especially since when I first read it it seemed like it was PPC vs. cafeteria food).

            • What around here is NOT some sort of joke? (nm) by on 2008-10-30 02:44:00 UTC Reply
              • Re: What around here is NOT some sort of joke? by on 2008-10-30 04:42:00 UTC Reply

Fair point, but I more meant like in that unlike some other events it seemed more deliberately humourous, maybe parodic. Pretty much everything in the PPC has at least some level of humour to it, but I more meant that I thought the Ypur thing wasn't supposed to be taken as a real thing, just some random fun or something. It was something like that.

                • Well, I intendd it to be both. by on 2008-10-30 07:16:00 UTC Reply

As a fun way to deal with the Ypur invasion, which was now entering its third 'Stampede', and a way to feel like we're doing something about it, even if the Nameless Admin is the one doing all the work.
                  That said, welcome!

      Welcome to the insanity!

    • First graduated cylinder and mini-glomp! by on 2008-10-29 05:35:00 UTC Reply

My PPC Agents Eledhwen and Christianne's minis (Lucy Pevenzi, Locy, Mara Labinigi, and Ithillien) give you a nice, fiery, painful mini-glomp.

My PPC DMSE&R scientists Lori Starrett and Bill Fallis bestow unto you a graduated cylinder. It's very handy in Mary Sue experiments, and has a graduation cap. Oh, and it measures fluids. *cough think clean thoughts cough*

Welcome to the PPC. You might want to go visit Medical for those mini-glomp injuries now. *waves hand cheerfully*

Here you are, kgarrett. I run the Mini-Balrog Adoptions, I have plenty of burns stuff. Though Lily seems to have created a fifth mini she was unaware of...

        Psst. Lil'.

        Mara Labingi.
Mara Labinigi. Two different minis. If you like, I can take one of them off your hands, but you're more than welcome to keep him too if you like.

        • Oops, my bad. by on 2008-10-31 00:37:00 UTC Reply

As a "reward" for creating him/her (Mara seems to be a very...feminine name for a male Canon character), I shall adopt her/him. Or, technically speaking, he/she may adopt me.

Mara Labingi, meet Mara Labinigi. Did you know she/he's your long lost twin?
          *growl*
So you did, pookums? That's nice. Now you two can go off--hey, get away from that 'Sue! I was going to send it in to Lori and Bill at the DMSE&R! Hey! Stop that!

Much obliged, sorry for the earlier embarrassment.

Will your Agents be based in a response center or a TARDIS, BTW?

      • Re: First plover! by on 2008-10-29 03:53:00 UTC Reply

Response centre. A TARDIS wouldn't entirely work with the ideas I have for the agents.

I think Tomato may have meant the Mary Sue Invasion or the Macrovirus Invasion. Nevertheless, welcome in from the wilderness, sir, to the much more active PPC boards (yes, much more active than SOTF right now)!

      • Re: First soman (it's nerve agent)! by on 2008-10-29 03:35:00 UTC Reply

Heh, maybe, but I've already read up on that so it's not that big a deal, he just should've been clearer. :P And yeah, but I hope SOTF picks up again soon. Considering they made the deadline halloween, I assume it's too late to get in on the movie anyway, so ah well. Still, I hope to have the concepts and sample and stuff up so I can get permission as soon as I'm able to do all of that, heh.
