When living tissue has been put under a SEP-field, how long does it take to resume its natural coloration? I'm talking maybe five minutes under the field, ten at the most.

It won't be cheesy for the agent in question, whose bad news will be real and not simply designed as an excuse for angst and healing-whatever. (If it IS designed that way, best re-think it!) In any case, there's nothing wrong with comforting someone who's hurt as long as it's appropriate--healing sex, for example, is almost never appropriate. Since the circumstances will be different from those of the fic, the agent with the news should be able to separate the two enough to accept the help, even if comparing it to the fic is inevitable. For best effect, actual flashbacks ought to be reserved for the truly horrific.
Feel free to ask about the specifics of what you want to do, too. I mean, don't say who the agents are or exactly what the bad news is if you want to avoid spoilers, but the details of the fic and of what you'd like to have happen between the agents might help us give you better advice.
~Neshomeh, who can't ask questions about her missions without spoilers, since she only has one team plus Jenni.
If it was "cheesy" but not "painful", then quite a bit by

If scarring and totally out of character... not much. Unless it's done in a very different fashion than in the badfic.
