I know those two comics are widely considered not only good, but of consistently high quality and I also believe that they are well-known fanfics. So I thought they should be nominated as legendary goodfics. Are there any who want to second the nomination?
(And I apologize if I'm going at this the wrong way, but the wiki simply says that nominations should be made on the Board by two, preferably three Boarders.)

Because I previously semi-gushed about the art in GND while barely mentioning Roommates, but...
I like some of this art, too
The fact that only the least-recognisable member of the main cast is in this one might be relevant... as might the fact that in both comics, Aziraphale and Crowley are among my favourites.

On the one hand, I really love both these comics; GND is hilarious and really pretty, and does an excellent job of making the characters believably themselves. The art in Rm doesn't grab me as much (though the text is easier to read - that's my one complaint against GND!Jareth), and isn't as big on the humour, but the storylines and dramatic moments blow me away (though that one doesn't really have its impact without the background, and is a massive spoiler - don't click unless you've read it!).
But... legendary? I hadn't heard of them until I stumbled across GND by accident (which, by the way, is probably why I prefer it - I read it first). That may be because I'm not in the relevant fandoms, but to my mind, a Legendary Bad/Goodfic should be known by everyone in the fandom. The entire LotR fandom knew (at one point) what 'legolas by laura' and 'Clbr__n' were; do these meet the same standard?
Or maybe I'm just being old-fashioned and over-thingy. I'd agree that they're good enough certainly; I'm just asking about 'well-known'.

... we need some sort of agreed upon definition of what constitutes legendary.
The wiki page isn't being very helpful on the subject. All the fics on it were added back in 2008, most of them by the same editor. There's nothing about which criteria were used, except that they have to be nominated on the Board. (Digging through the Board archives for the nomination threads might give some more information.)
On the wikipage for Goodfic, it merely states that 'Certain goodfics that are very popular among the PPC are elevated to the status of Legendary Goodfic.' and doesn't even mention the actual fandoms involved.
Likewise, on the Legendary Badfic page it also says 'The Legendary Badfic is a collective name for the worst badfic encountered by the PPC, specifically those 'fics which most of the community have heard of and (in many cases) been traumatized by.' Again, it mentions the PPC, not the fandoms.
I think it's safe to say that the definition of 'Legendary' used to be looser and more based on what was well known in the PPC community, rather than in the fandoms in question. As such, both pages may need a clean-up, if we come up with a new, stricter definition.
Also, should we compare goodfics with badfics, when deciding what 'well known' means?
It strikes me as a bit unfair to the goodfics. Even people who never read fanfics might read 'legolas by Laura' or 'My Immortal' (which are both very short) simply to gawk at the horribleness in them and then spread the word, thus making them infamous in all the fandom. Goodfics, on the other hand, are mostly known among people who want to read fanfics and can have a much harder time catching the eye of the whole fandom. Especially considering that most people don't recommend fics that they haven't read themselves and something like OFUM or 'Don't Panic' are long and take a while to get through.
Definitely for Girls Next Door, at any rate. (Hands up if you knew that Pika is also the artist responsible for drawing many of OFUM's Black Leather Alliance back in the day!)
I haven't been enjoying Roommates as much in recent arcs, unfortunately. I kinda feel like it's gotten so wrapped up in its own mythology and drama that the characters' distinct personalities and the sense of fun have been lost. I miss the wacky hijinks, which GND still brings in full force.
I'm not sure if it's possible to have one without the other, though.

In my opinion, it should be possible to have just the one, if it comes to that. That GND is technically a fanfic of Roommates does not make it any less of a fanfic. I'd rather see just GND on the legendary list, than not have any of them.
