So, uh, who's going to be Falchion's partner? Cheesy? (Also, wow, that fanfic sounds truly awful.)
I'm confused about the alternate memories you mention. Would those be the result of Falchion being a self-insert or did I miss some key point in your post?

Additionally, I've been looking up some potential badfic in search of potential recruit material. One of my prompts was "Pit from Kid Icarus gets hopelessly drunk" and I wasn't disappointed:

I think I'll claim this one, because I love the Kid Icarus franchise and I'd hate to see it thrown so out of whack like this. A Sue angel who has a romantic interest in a certain defender of Angel Land, an uncanonical history for said defender, totally anachronistic story setting, AND MAKING PIT INTO A DEPRESSED DRUNKARD WHO CUTS HIMSELF? WTF?!

If it weren't for the fact that Skarmory already has a partner for Falchion, I wouldn't say no to this. My self insert thing is really shaky at the moment, and tell you the truth, I'd throw it in the bin in a heartbeat for the weakest of excuses.
...I'd be happy to write a collab with your team if I can get Falchion and Rasheeda off the ground, as it were. Maybe kick it off with an interlude where Falchion meets Cheesy for the first time and they become friends despite their differences. I'll wait on the two of us getting our teams properly set up first, though! :)
That sounds great to me, actually. Might be interesting for Cheesy to meet a Pokemon from the main Pokemon continuum (or at least something close to that)...
Just realized that Cheesy might end up comparing a pair of agents to a Rescue Team and the PPC to a guild...

Her new name is Rasheeda bint Giza, with Rosetta/Rose as an occasional nickname; I'll have her updated bio posted once I get my drawings of her finished. Since I'm off to a conference next week, though, she won't be ready until the week after that...
Yes, Falchion is indeed my "self-insert." I actually brought up this matter in an earlier post, since I myself wrote the first badfic the two are slated to tackle and I would like for Falchion to realize this. I ultimately decided upon the alternate memories so that he could notice something familiar, go off and research the fic and the author, and put the pieces together.
And yeah, I know there was health-restoring wine in the original Kid Icarus game, but that wrist-cutting has to be the most OOC thing I've ever seen in my life. Especially for someone who's fought his way through the ENTIRE FRACKING UNDERWORLD ON HIS OWN, for Palutena's sake!
