Maybe the Tea Party ones generate actual tea parties? You know, the tea scones and jam ones.

Maybe the Tea Party ones generate actual tea parties? You know, the tea scones and jam ones.
A fair number of the stories I'm looking at for missions and reading at the Library have these weird and heavy-handed political messages to them that easily overshadow the plot: the rare Animagus (environmentalist), Tavros and Fairie: A Love Story (random Tea Party speeches in the author's notes), and The USA Versus The Batarian Hegemony (should be self-explanatory).
I'm looking for a way to poke at this sort of soapboxing without just flaming the ideologies in question, so I was thinking it causes something to happen in the Word World, but I don't know what.
Maybe it generates a ubiquitous force that physically tries to push objects to the right or left, depending?
How about sudden blasts of hot air? That's all political rants come across as to the rest of us anyway. Oh, and the extra ham-handed ones could smell like a bacon cheeseburger.
I like the "pull to the left or right" idea; it's a simple, physical feature that would continue to be a theme throughout the mission without completely side-tracking the action.
Another possibility, which I've imagined using, but haven't found a fic to use in yet, is to have a character who literally serves no purpose but to spew an ideology (political or otherwise) turn out to be a literal "strawman." As in, scarecrow-type thing mocked up to look like a true character. This lets us strike at the problems behind such political speech-fics--ignoring story and characterization in favor of selling a position--without attacking the viewpoint directly. You're welcome to use this idea, if you wish.
(In my imagined scenario, I would also end by portalling the strawperson into my actual, real world petting zoo for my goats and deer and baby llamas to consume. You're welcome to use that, too, if it's not too weird for you. :) )
An actual soapbox?
If you're wondering what Anonymous and other, future Anonymouse minis look like, they're green mice.
And yes, I know full well that Anonymous is a word in and of itself, but it'd still generate a mini in this case, right?
I would say that the animagus one might have dancing strawmen.
