I'm just reading through the first chapter, and that is impressively bad. Beige prose, unexplained happenings, and crazy pacing...yikes.

I don't recall anything related to the Godzilla fandom in any of the PPC missions I've looked up so far. But anyway, we've got lazy, non-descriptive writing, a misspelled kaiju name, and an unlabeled author's note, all in the first chapter!
And I don't think anyone's defined any minis from the Godzilla continuum, but I'd like to think that in general they'd look something like this:

Y'know what, I think I'll post anything related to the 2014 Godzilla movie on this thread. Including badfics thereof, alas. Anyway...

I mean, the modern Godzilla movie had New York, but the Tokyo Godzilla would probably attack Oregon, or Canada, or more likely Southern California.
Re: "modern Godzilla" - You're thinking of the 1998 movie, no doubt. Almost everybody agrees that the monster from that movie is an entirely separate character from the Big G himself. The 2014 version, which was a lot more faithful to the spirit of the original, turns up in San Fransisco, though it's to fight a different monster rather than to destroy the city itself.
So yeah, visiting Maryland would make no sense unless he either: a) swam all the way around South America, which would've taken a few weeks at least, or b) passed through the Panama Canal or even over dry land, which would be both uncomfortable for him (he's supposedly a sea-dwelling animal, after all) and also would've resulted in him being seen by a lot more people, not to mention a lot sooner.
