What justification could I use for bringing her along that won't upset the Flowers?

Samantha figures that it's a pretty safe story, and she might be trying to find a surrogate for when she would have loved the opportunity. For Larry, the reason they let the fic run its course is that he hasn't learned the canon yet and what better opportunity than to watch it from up-close. To bring Elizabeth with is that I think it's funnier to have her be a living barometer of what the fic is doing.

With this scenario, I could have Larry be too squeamish to kill his first Sue. It would be his second try. Without Elizabeth, he'd have to solo because the safest way to deal with the Sue is with the in-universe MacGuffin that disables vampires.
