Yeah, I can't even force myself to finish that one.
I've been looking back over the Board, and in the month since I popped up again, I haven't really done much commenting on people's posts. This is partly because, most of the time, I don't know what in the world's going on and I don't want to ruin it, but should I try to be more active than I've been?
I wouldn't worry too much; I'm the newest of newbies, but I'd hypothesize that just doing what you feel comfortable with is the best scheme. Familiarize yourself with what's going on, crack a few jokes- and NEVER, EVER, listen to newbies.

Be as active as you feel comfortable being - there's nothing wrong with hanging back, nor with jumping forward.
(Am I actually capable of giving anyone a straight yes or no answer? Apparently not!)

Physical judgement? :O
Is that like spatial awareness/judgment of distances? Or do you mean corporal punishment? Or physical reenactments of Phoenix Wright-esque courtroom drama?
There's no judgement involved, it's just a matter of saying things.
Don't scare people like that, you scamp!
At the very least, do what I did and ask lots of questions! (Seriously, does anyone know how many times I apologized for asking things?)
It's always rather fun (for me) to jump head-first into things you know little about! (And it can help to read the initial post of a thread to find out what's being discussed.) :D
...if I jump head-first into things, I'll probably do something stupid and offend someone. Or that's what I'm worried I'll do.
And easily avoided: If you think something you've said might hurt someone's feelings, don't post it. Simple! :D
Yeah, but what if I act like an idiot or just plain say something stupid?
Trust me, pretty much my first week(s) here I messed up a handful of different times - put pages on the Wiki under the wrong categories, accidentally ventured close/into flaming territory when someone discovered a slew of Mulan badfics, and generally acted like the rampaging newbie I was. The worst I ever got was a reminder or two to reign things in - I was way harder on myself than I think everyone else was. ^^;
If you goof, you goof - what better way to learn, am I right?
Thanks ^_^ I feel better.
Everybody makes mistakes from time to time! It's all part of the learning process. And believe me, the PPC is a very tolerant bunch. I mean, they've been puttin' up with me for nearly three years now!
