I am proud to present an animated version of my (Un)Intelligence series! ...or a part of it, at any rate. I'm working on the other episodes.
Over the past year, I've toiled over this project, hoping to make something that the PPC has never had before (I think): a story in animated format. It's been painstaking work and at times even my computer seemed opposed to the task-- if a catastrophic hard drive failure is any indicator of a machine's will. Nevertheless, two episodes are done and more are on the way.
The two episodes have been uploaded to YouTube for your viewing pleasure.
Episode 1
APRIL FOOLS!
Episode 2
Please let me know what you think!
No, seriously, that was great. I really enjoyed it, and while I think that it could have been longer, it was still utterly fantastic. I know I'm not good at giving anything but praise, but bear with me. Please, do. And I really liked it.
.....Please be filled, preview box?
GAH! You disappointed me so much! I was looking at that links, getting all anticipated, and then, well... I'm glad I paused the videos the moment they came on to give them time to load. And then noticed the titles. Gleh.
But, off topic a bit, but how are those audio projects that got talked about a few months ago coming? I know there were plans to do something with the Continuity Council material, and I'm pretty sure Lily's Night Vale fusion was going to have something happen to it... I dunno. It's just that, like doctorlit, I would love to have something PPC to listen to on bus rides and whatnot.

The PPC Radio Playes are still available online: Episode I and Episode II.
The Continuity Council didn't happen because the only person interested in recording anything was me, so. It's probably more fun as a written thing anyway.

Admittedly, we don't share an accent, but there could be some sort of disclaimer along the lines of 'the Reader has a faint Welsh accent and I don't, sorry'. Of course, first I'd have to actually write something for her to monologue...
Thing is, though, I wouldn't really be able to put in sound effects and music and so on...I mean, unless I purposefully played it in the background as I recorded, which is also an option. I just don't have sound-editing technology, and don't really feel like getting any just now, either.
I do have several vague ideas about people wandering around the PPC and singing, and have the intention of possibly eventually writing them and actually recording the songs, but...well, that's not a current project. More of a current idea. It is still an idea, though...

I'm so excited about it! I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes! As others have pointed out, the animation was suburb, and the sound quality was unusually good! I admire your perseverance in continuing to work on this masterpiece despite the manifold elements of opposition. Please continue it soon! That cliffhanger at the end! Episode Three must arrive with haste!
Is that enough text to fill up the preview? I think so.
Bwahahahahahhaaha!
Seriously, that was funny. I got so incredibly excited and then I clicked on the first link and... yeah, you know the rest. Good joke!
Although someone should really do that, an animated PPC story. That would be cool. Incredibly cool. Hmmmm...
Anyway, happy April Fool's Day!
This was so great. Who did you get to all the different voices? I'm assuming the sopranos didn't come from your throat. I like the little page-turning effect between scenes, to make it feel like I was reading WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS
You have no idea how excited I got when I read this post! I went and made breakfast so I could watch your creation while I ate and NOW ALL MY HOPES HAVE BEEN CRUELLY SHATTERED
Someone needs to really do this. Right now. Someone get on a Flash editor or whatever and animate out one of your PPC stories. I want a PPC thing I can listen to in the car on the way to work. I DEMAND FREE ENTERTAINMENT
I don't think I'm getting the right videos when I click on the links- one was uploaded in 2010, the other in 2009. I gather from the thread that one of them is an April Fool's prank, but neither seem to be you videos. Am I wrong? :(
Now to keep anyone who only just clicked on your post from reading these juicy spoilers by making a very long sentence, though noticeably not one as long as I could possibly muster, in order to fill up the lines of preview text.
Is that all? Are you sure? Okay.
They're Internet memes. It's April Fool's day, and he did that on purpose. Just keep the joke going and put HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA on repeat.
I was impressed by the amount of little details you managed to fit in there. The sheer amount of work that must have gone into this... dang. Kudos to you. I dare say all the kudos. Every single one of them.
There were a few points that felt a bit odd or sluggish to me. 1:21 into Episode 2 was one such point. But other than that, I don't really have anything negative to say about these episodes. I look forward to your next installments.
((...I really should have seen that coming. Really should have. Working all these night shifts screws up my perception of time, up to and including the actual date.))
Seriously, the animation is so smooth! I thought I had seen some of the best Flash could do, but this is leaps and bounds ahead of that! While there are a few strange faces here and there, it is still professional quality animation. Seriously.
Say, you're a brony. Seeing what happened with JanAnimations, maybe you could take his place. Technically, the C&D only applies to him. Perhaps you could finish the Pony Rock Anthem animation in his stead.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic. These are some fantastic animations. I await the next instalment with... Eh, let's go with the 'baited breath' thing.
((IT BEGINS!))
The animation was splendid. I loved it! What programme did you make it in? How did you manage to animate Harris Frost's nose like that? You should be working for Disney!
I'm just going to go show this to my friends now.
(Ha, I would've fallen for it if one of the links didn't already show up as used, and I knew which one it was ;P Happy April Fool's Day!)
As for Frost's nose, I just looked in the mirror long enough and it clicked.
((A pox on your internet history, Lily. I was planning this for ages.))
