In fact, I had never thought of comparing Kerrigan/the Queen of Blades to Luna/Nightmare Moon before you mentioned it. Yum, food for thought.

It is AMAZING.
Is it weird that Applebloom and Scootaloo's version of Sam and Frodo's speech on Orodruin/Mount Friendship gave me more feels than the version in the movie? I think it was Applebloom's adorable sad-accent that did it.
This was so well-casted, too. All of the LotR pony counterparts were perfect. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that we never saw who played Saruman. It's the good kind of disappointed, though, the "Now the fan-speculation lobe of my brain is going to be churning out possibilities for a week" kind.
I mean, you'd think as a parody, it wouldn't be as meaningful, but Apple Bloom's sad accent just made me tear up.
Hah, yeah. Sometimes when something is missing it simply opens up more opportunities to make it up yourself. For example, this person has done a lot of these, but they haven't done Star Trek. So I started casting.
Kirk - Rainbow Dash
Spock - Twilight Sparkle
McCoy - Applejack
Scotty - Spike
Uhura - Rarity
Sulu - Fluttershy
Chekov - Pinkie Pie
If I had animation skills...
(captures "Applebloom" mini-Discord) Gotcha! (portals Applebloom to OFUE) Sorry about that. Proceed as usual.
...that this guy's deviantart profile is filled with MLP/Portal and MLP/StarCraft animation stuffs. Rarity at the helm of a Battlecruiser and Twilight as a Ghost made me crack up.
Oh, and I found a Card Captor Sakura/MLP animation by a different artist too.
I mean, Ghosts are badass nerds with superpowers, right?
Take a look at Twilight and tell me you don't see it. Just TRY.
...I wouldn't call a Ghost a nerd per se. They aren't even in control of their own mind after all of that neural resocialization, agression inhibitors, and memory wipes.
I'd actually see Twilight in a Science Vessel (and Spike as a good ol' Marine)!
And Fluttershy operates a Protoss Carrier with full drone docks.
Fitting, I think - those things are hell when you catch them in a fight.
And worse in groups.
(My best ever strategy in Starcraft 1: Make sixteen Carriers. Build all available drones for said carriers. Send all sixteen carriers into battle. RELEASE THE SWARM.)
Press "Y" for an insta-kill laser beam. That charging sound is the most wonderful thing in the world.
Oh, and Fluttershy is actually a Medivac. It just feels so right, you know...
I don't know Starcraft well (or much at all) but even I know enough to say definitively that there is nothing else they could be.
On another note, who would the other vilans be? Discuss!
Silly SeaTurtle, Fluttershy is not a Medivac, she's a pegasus pony. *Troll face*
Although it's funny that you should mention the changelings; they're an actual unit in the game. Completely worthless in terms of offense, but they can get valuable scouting intel against an unprepared opponent.
The more you know!
Who I can not recall the name of. Right?
Anyhow, let's call Nightmare Moon Sarah Kerrigan, shall we?
I of course mean post-Zerg siege Sarah.
Making Celestia Jim Raynor, of course. XD
...by the time of StarCraft 2, the terrans have scrapped the Vulture hoverbike in favour of the relatively safer Hellion raid vehicle. Rainbow Dash is actually riding in a Banshee air-to-ground attack vehicle.
Luna is a Dark Templar, which actually suits her quite well to be honest. You do have a point in comparing Kerrigan with Luna: both were infested by a powerful force that overrode their original personalities and were subsequently purged from it with a huge light show.
Well, at least Celestia was willing to forgive Luna for her transformation. Poor old Jimmy witnessed two genocides led by infested!Kerrigan and swore to personally avenge the dead. He never really got around to it though since he spent the following four years almost drinking himself to death on Mar Sara while trying to figure out if Kerrigan was actually in control of her actions or not.
Nitpicking at its finest!
It just means I'm garbage at guessing games.
In fact, I had never thought of comparing Kerrigan/the Queen of Blades to Luna/Nightmare Moon before you mentioned it. Yum, food for thought.
Point for the Specs Man!
Ba-ba-ba-ba-bee-bop-ba-badda-bop.
Actually, I did both against the final boss in the first game, when I was Terran and Protoss.
And as if I wasn't a total jerk, I also stocked up on nukes and did a mass-Ghost nuke strike.
Craters.
Craters everywhere.
I remember seeing his portal stuff. He's really good, though not quite JanAnimations level. Oh, JanAnimations is the guy behind Picture Perfect Pony, as I linked down below, as well as the Ask the Crusaders tumblr blog, found here: http://ask-thecrusaders.tumblr.com/ They are both really well done, as he has very high quality puppet rigs in flash.
Man, now I sound like an advertiser for Jan. Anyway, back to the stuff by Yudhaikeledai. Yeah, he's one of my favorites, both as an animator, and as a comic artist. I've seen plenty of his stuff before, definitely worth checking out.
MY BRAIN CANNOT FUNCTION FOR THE AWESOMENESS THAT IS IN FRONT OF IT
Ha :D I don't even watch MLP, but this is pretty funny. "No pony simply trots into Maredor" is what broke me, honestly. Or possibly the end of the intro. Not sure. Either way, it's awesome.
Nope, I stand corrected. The funniest moment is when the pony playing Legolas (Twilelegolas in the credits?) starts to speak.
This...is actually pretty cute. I kind of want to show this to my future kids to introduce them to LotR.
Contestants for best lines:
"You fell!"
"Through hatred, and pessimism." :D
"I never thought I'd die side by side with a unicorn."
Oh, wow. Thanks for sharing :)

You can find all the episodes online. It looks like a sparkly little kids' show, but it is actually really good, for reasons I can't put into words. Just watch it with an open mind, and you'll be surprised.
Ponies re-enact Star Wars, Ponies re-enact Nintendo, ponies re-enact Yu-Gi-Oh, he's got a lot of them. And if he does not have it, somebody else does. There is a reason there is now a Rule 34-p: If it exists, there is a pony version of it. No exceptions.
I know a lot of good pony fan material. If anypony is interested, I would be happy to post some really cool things the fandom has made, including fanfiction, fan videos, fan art, and fan music. My sweet Celestia, the music this fandom creates...
Here, I'm going to start you guys off with a little something I like to call: Discord, the Living Tombstone Remix.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPfMb50dsOk
And the original Discord by Eurobeat Brony:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDMGv3hNMes
You like to call them that? And here I thought that was just the name of the song. Also, have more music, which I the creator call 'The Moon Rises' and 'Lullaby for a Princess'
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kPjVCIX5Fvs
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=H4tyvJJzSDk&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DH4tyvJJzSDk
Then again, I may be Eurobeat Brony, you don't know...
...OK, so I'm not Eurobeat Brony or Living Tombstone, but still.
Alright, I counter not only with music, but some music VIDEOS! Here we have your simple PMV (Pony Music Video) of Gospel Truth from Hercules
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK5tngoBg7A
An animation of Magic by the Living Tombstone:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZn3rF4km84
And Picture Perfect Pony, animation by Jan Animations, and song by Mandopony:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDdL4z5qfr4
Finaly, to end this round of fan creations, in honor of fanfiction, I give you Rainbow Dash Presents: Cupcakes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AbtCTbSWTk
The Rainbow Dash Presents seres is awesome, you should all watch it. KittyNoodles, if you read this, he did a Rainbow Dash Presents: Rainbow Factory (called Captain Hook the Biker Gorilla rather than Rainbow Factory, for reasons that is explained in the first bit of the video) that is gut-bustingly hilarious! Wait, 'gut busting?' No no, not like that, what I mean is, it will make you tare your sides! No, wait, I mean... Oh forget it, it's hilarious.
