You get to MST3K, spork, or lets play with your characters as much as you want.
That said, if it mangles BIONICLE, I want it dead. :D

Right, so I'm a huge Bionicle fan, and I'm also an RPG fan. Naturally, when I found an archive of a bunch of fan RPGs in the BZPower software forum, I was pretty excited to try some of them out and promptly downloaded a bunch. First I tried out Map of Mata Nui, made by the rather infamous admin bonesiii; believe it or not, it was actually rather decent, and got my hopes up for the rest of the games I'd found.
And then I decided to check out Legend of Mata Zuto.
Five seconds in, and I was already wishing it was a text fic just so I could KILL THE SHIT OUT OF IT. >
So yeah, this is a thing. Anyone interested if I do a stream or twenty? And if so, what time would be good? Because I really want to mock the hell out of this thing, and I'd love if some other Boarders stuck around as well. ^^

If it violates the canon, has a Sue, or is just BAD FIC….
I suggest that you kill it with fire in any format!~
As it is an RPG, I wouldn't know how to spork it. Let's Play sounds like a good format, but then it wouldn't be a part of the Kudzu plot know as the PPC. Of course, treat it like a second person fic and throw in the dummy and have your agents dispatch the Fic.. What ever you choose, be sure to put it up here!
...would you mind giving a run-down of why this is awful? I remember the toys from when I was a kid, and I remember that they were awesome, but I don't remember any actual storyline associated with it.
Now, as to the stream: I probably won't be able to see it live no matter when you do it, but if you put it on YouTube, I will be sure to watch it when I can. It sounds fun, and I don't want to miss a PPC Let's Play.
Also, Bionicle probably had the biggest, most involved storyline out of anything Lego's ever done. Now, I'm not really the best at explaining stuff, so I'm probably not the guy you want to ask for a plot summary for the first two sagas or stuff. The games concern the 2001-2002 storylines, though, so if you don't mind looking through gigantic wiki pages, feel free to check out http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/SagaGuides/ComingoftheToa and http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/SagaGuides/TheBohrok_Swarms for the basics.
Rather than having to read the entire lengthy Saga Guides without any details from the game to compare that information to. You didn't post any details of the game itself, and any attempts I've made to track the game down have lead to either launch celebration threads or 404 Not Found messages(not that I'd have time to play the game anyway, but with a name that distinctive, I'd expect to track it down within a few Google searches), so I can't do my own comparisons.
And I'm intrigued, too, since Bionicle was my first real fandom. What exactly is the huge problem? Is the game really awful mechanics-wise? Does it absolutely mangle the canonical events of the Toa Mata era? Does it just make a lot of silly decisions? What is being dealt with here?
Granted, the lofty and pretentious phrases like "we intend to rival the official storyline in entertainment, tension, and originality" and "it's not just a game, it's an experience" that its creators used in the celebration threads are cause for me to believe you that it's not at all going to be good, but since I can't play the game itself, I don't know what precisely makes it so awful.
And by damn are they big issues. It does indeed absolutely mangle the canonical events of the Mata era, and there's a whole bunch of silly stuff (the sound and visual effects, even for an RPG Maker game, are stupefying), but I think what pisses me off the most about it are how horribly they mangle Gali's character in what I presume to be a completely misguided attempt at character depth that went horribly, horribly wrong. At times it feels like the writers took every horrible stereotype of women they could think of and just piled them onto her and called it a day. >_
Incidentally, here's a link to the BZP software archive: http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=127
Links should be in there somewhere. First game is called Fall of the Conqueror; second is The Infestation. Might want to use ctrl+f to find them, since the page seems a bit screwed up at the moment. :|
