Kinda bored. Kinda artsy. Need the practice. So, I thought to myself "Why not ask the good people at the PPC?". And thus, here I am opening myself (hopefully unregrettably) to no colour bust requests of their own OCs and what not.
Anyone wanting?
I think I can scrape together a description or two :) If you're still taking requests, that is.
If that's the case, I'll happily take a picture of either (or any) of the following:
Agent Bookworm: Male, thick glasses, often looks menacing (sometimes unintentionally). 5’4”. He looks like a teenager, as in, just over twelve years old, although he claims to be fourteen or fifteen. Spiky blond hair, brown eyes. Carries Klingon weaponry and a trophy--a Sue’s sparkly, urple bag.
Agents Naergondir and Gurnirel: Both are Tolkien Elves, so very tall, leaf-shaped ears, and very similar in build. Naergondir is male and has dark hair and grey eyes; Gurnirel is female, and has golden hair and grey eyes (so sue me, every Tolkien Elf has grey eyes. What can you do.) They both probably wear tunics or warriors' gear of some sort. They're very close, although not romantically, and are often (but not always) found looking rather sad. Both probably have long hair, with various braids in it.
I'm very much enjoying the sketches you've been posting (and will now continue to look through them!) Keep up the good work! :)

If you feel like taking a crack at my other agents, go for it—Ilraen is an Andalite and Derik has some extensive facial scarring that might be fun if you're looking to stretch yourself—but I won't be greedy.

I kinda wish you hadn't gotten to it so quickly, though—I hadn't realized you have a preference for verbal references over visual, and I could have given you a lot more detail than what's in the wiki articles. Alas.

This is Dafydd Illian. He could be described as tall, thin, with long black hair and pointy ears. Grey eyes, and if you happen to get down that far, he has no right hand. These days he tends to wear light-coloured open-collar shirts with a tunic underneath, simply because he can (being long since retired). He also has a miniature bronze-coloured dragon who sometimes perches on his shoulder, but I doubt you want to draw that. ;)

On the plus side, the vast majority of the picture is really good. I like the hair, and I'm really impressed by the way you've defined his clothes in just a couple of lines. I also think little Ilwion on his shoulder is absolutely adorable.
But... well, for one, that ear terrifies the life out of me. I'm not sure why - I think it looks a bit too 'spidery' for me. It's scary, either way.
And his face... again, I don't know why it bothers me. There's nothing I can point to and say 'that, right there, is totally wrong'. Just the whole overall effect... I don't know. I think it might be that the mouth looks like it's a 3/4 shot, while the nose and eye say it's a profile. Playing around a bit in Paintshop, I think you might also have his eye a little high up, or a little large, or possibly both.
But like I say, that's really impressive! And the simple detailling on the clothes has me entirely stunned.

His TekTek avatar is a pretty good cartoon representation of him and there should be a decent description of him on his page. I'm not too sure if it matters or not, but I'd just like to add that he's of mixed ancestry: his mother is Caucasian and his father is Chinese.

It's what I'm used to when I hear Ref actually. A long time friend of mine is actually a professional artist and tends to use pictures for basic looks and poses. So it's kinda my fault I could adapt the pic though; looks wise say that he lost his good looks when he joined the PPC

So yeah, I'll go ahead and ask for one.
So essentially, Zerenze is a Sangheili from the Halo canon. So here are some references:
Sorry for the multiple references. I figure that with a design like the one the sangheili have, you'd need quite a few references.
Don't worry about the armor in the second reference: essentially, I just want this Sangheili done up in little more than a shirt. (Since it's a bust, I'm assuming it won't go below the chest, so...) Zerenze is more of a techie type with a bit of a personality that isn't usual for a Sangheili, so I think for the facial expression you could go with that. Or something.

I wish I could draw like that. The detail is fantastic! I personally imagine her hair and chest slightly differently, but that's mostly a stylistic thing. Were I to imagine her in a more anime style, you would be pretty much spot on. (And as I said, I was interested to see how others pictured her, which you have done exceedingly well.)
The expression is completely right: pleasant enough but with the underlying danger of succumbing to residual hive influence. You also did the implants very well, particularly the neck, eye and foreground arm. I love the little details like the veining on her forehead and the dish at the back, too.
All in all, excellent job! I really like it! Thank you. :)
I need full figure image. Oh, and what style do you use? Two are from anime continua, and the third has no defined style so far (Agent!Sergio came from a crossover with a bit of everything in it, but it's going to stabilize into anime too after my next project) so drawing them in a realistic style would be a no-no.
Busts is still better than nothing, after all.
Sergio Turbo
His clothes are that of the wiki article, black jacket worn open with a t-shirt under it, black trousers with bug, cargo pants-like pockets on the legs and an utility belt with a pistol holster on the left side, with the pistol's grip pointing forward). He wears regular glasses (the ones with wider-than-tall lenses) and a red Rambo-style bandana. It's quite the contrast, but he needs both: glasses to see and bandana to keep the sweat out of his eyes.
I'ts kinda tricky find a good reference, as he's an old Gary Stu of mine reworked into a plausible character. As such, I want to avoid making him look like myself, but at the same time I don't know exactly how he would look like.
However, he shares some visual traits with several Card Captor Sakura characters: Yukito, Eriol and Syaoran

Eriol Hiiragizawa (the one looking like him the most)
Syaoran Li (Good source for his expression, but take care: Nikki says that Sergio doesn't look like him, so avoid using him too much)
Nikki Cherryflower
She's a clone of Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura, so the reference is easy. Just bear in mind that Nikki is much older (17-18 years old against the 10 to 12 timespan of Sakura's life CCS covers) and has longer hair, reaching below her shoulders. The hairdo is simpler though, with no hair decorations. Feel free to decide if those big-as-a-fighter-jet's-intakes bangs have to go or not.
Her clothes are pretty much those of the Wiki article, a black coat over simple jeans and sweater. She also has her Device in standby form (a star-shaped blue gem) hanging from a simple string worn as a necklace.
Simple clothes and a like-Sakura-but-not-quite appearance are pretty much the staples of Nikki while in the PPC, as subconsciously she's still not sure about who she is.
Corolla
As an Unison Device, the best reference in Reinforce Zwei from Lyrical Nanoha. However, her hair is a different shade of light blue (slightly darker than that of Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica) and held up in two pigtails. Her clothes are that of the wiki article image (it's rather outdated, though, so she still has brown hair in a ponytail). so a typical anime-style skirt, white thighs and a blouse. She really likes to look cute (and act like a ditz)
Keep in mind that Corolla, being an Unison Device, is just six inches tall.

The bandana and expression are wrong. I actually meant the headband kind of bandana (my fault, should've been more specific), and he's got a bit too much of a Cheshire cat smile, but... that's him. Great job!
