to follow up on my geography question. I know that Bakugan are ridiculously huge compared to Pokemon. However, my question is, "How huge, exactly, are they?" So, if anyone is willing to do some measuring and math, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Here are two pictures for reference:
This first one is a picture of Julie Makimoto standing beside the head of her Bakugan, Subterra Gorem.
This second picture is a picture of the Battle Brawlers' Bakugan--Gorem is all the way on the left.
Assuming that Julie is 4.5 feet (1.3716 meters to the metrically minded), how tall is Gorem?
P.S.: hS, since you answered my last question and I'm betting that you're the one who's going to answer this question, could you please give me your email address in case I have any further math questions?

Assuming my estimate of Julie's height being about a third of Gorem's head is correct and using those two images you provided as scale, Gorem is ~23.25 times taller than her, or about 32 metres tall.

Well, there's two major problems here:
1/ Either Gorem's legs are ridiculously huge, or the size chart (and indeed every picture I can find) is drawn with massive perspective. But for the same of argument, we'll assume both the height and proportions are correct.
2/ The visible features on the closeup are small enough on the other that a single pixel will make significant difference.
There would be a third issue, that we can't tell how far in front of Gorem Julie is standing, but fortunately, a slightly different angle confirms that she's standing on what appears to be his (its?) shoulder. So that's okay.
Now, the height. Assuming Julie to be 4'6'', and that she's standing upright (which she mostly is), and to be exactly level with Gorem's head (which she isn't, quite), we can see that her height of 260 pixels is equal to:
-The distance from the middle of one of Gorem's eyes to the far side of the other
-The distance between the narrowest parts of his cheekbones
-The distance between the bottom of his 'mouth' (not including the goatee) and the bottom of his brow ridge.
-The distance from the outside of his eye socket to the far side of his nose, on a level with the eyes.
On the full-scale picture, if we zoom right in, we can measure those distances as, in order, 10px, 9px, 11px, 10px. And Gorem's height is 300px (excluding crest)/320 px (including crest).
That gives us an average 'Julie-equivalent' unit of 10px - which means Gorem is 30 times Julie's height, with an extra two Julies on top as his crest. That puts his height as 135', or 45 yards - or 0.026 miles, or indeed almost exactly two chains. In metric, he's 41 meters.
By contrast, the biggest Pokemon I'm aware of is Wailord, who clocks in at 14.5 m, or 47'. That's almost exactly a third of Gorem's height. The smallest Pokemon I've actually heard of are things like Diglett and Natu, at 0'08'', or 0.2 m. That, um...

One question: How do you get the pixel counts? Is there a program that you use, or do you zoom the pictures in to such a ridiculous scale that you can see every individual pixel and then count?
And if you don't mind, a follow-up question: Now that we know that 4'6" equates to about 10 px in the scale picture, how tall is Aquos Preyas (the smallest of the Bakugan in the scale picture, that is, the blue scaly creature standing in front of Pyrus Dragonoid)?
Specifically, the square 'select' tool gives a readout of the size of the box while you're holding the mouse button down. I guess it's so you can do things with exact squares, but it works for straight lines too.
Captain Bluescale comes in at almost exactly 100px (which means he'd make a lovely LJ icon), making him 45 feet tall, or - if you can believe it - almost exactly the same height as Wailord is long. It's a funny ol' world. (13.7 meters)
