Depending on how the Board time zones work out, I fear we may have missed celebrating Their Birthday this year.
*celebrates in fine hobbit style anyway*

I bring a cracked up fic of what would happen if Middle-earth was a planet the Star Trek cast stopped by in ... er, appeasement. To an extent.
I'm still waiting on my present from the birthday boys!
To celebrate yesterday, we had lamb stew (we weren't able to get a proper leg of lamb), seed cake, talked Tolkien, and listened to the "Unexpected Journey" soundtrack.
I wish we had the movie.
I was going to say something, but I was sure someone else would, and then I fell asleep...

I figure Sam deserves at least a slice of cake, even if it's not his birthday.
So can we have a tree? I reckon we need a tree.

It was indeed a mallorn, and it was the wonder of the neighborhood. In after years, as it grew in grace and beauty, it was known far and wide and people would come long journeys to see it: the only mallorn west of the Mountains and east of the Sea, and one of the finest in the world.
