Er... Hi again! Sorry for dropping off the radar as suddenly as I did--especially when I did. My laptop finally lost its battle to stay alive after another few months of slow, painful deterioration... The mournful beeping it gives off when I hit the power button is ear-splitting. ^^;;
Anyway! For those who don't know (or who might have forgotten... ^^;;), I be KittyNoodles. I think I joined sometime last... August? July, possibly? It's been a year or more, in any event. And my fandoms are pretty much the same as they were, but the main ones are World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Warriors, and How to Tame Your Dragon.
So... yeah. I'm back! -waves sheepishly- -

Some years ago, I started to play WoW, because I wondered what all my friends’ sons were so excited about (my daughter was more interested in The Sims then). I only played as long as I didn’t need to pay for it, so I couldn’t really explore much of this world, but I’m still considering to start again when I have more time, probably meaning when I’m retired from my job :-)
So, repeating and expanding on questions from my introductory post you missed:
Will we ever see a third chapter of OFUA?
I totally understand when this doesn’t happen soon or ever, for technical or other reasons.
Are applications still open?
I would really like to know what you would have done to my alter ego if I had applied in time.
Don’t you get into trouble for interactivity when students apply via comments?
Well, if this is true, it’s probably too late to do anything about it. Also, I don’t have an account on ff.net, but I think I could comment anyway?
Can I simply apply here?
I’m the “bored old man”, who never found the Plaguelands, and as far as I know you still didn’t get this kind of student. -

Hello! To answer your questions:
1. OFUA is on hold until I get a new computer, because I don't want to mess around with the chapters on my phone right now. Before the computer died, it was on hold due to an incident with one of the applicants; they won't be appearing in the story, but I didn't quite make that decision in time to get the next chapter written. ^^;
2. You can totally still apply--the more the merrier! The only problem is that my phone won't let me on FF.net at the moment--I think it's getting old and fussy like my computer was--so I can't get it there. I do have an account on Archive Of Our Own now, though, and plan to permanently move the story there. I'll post a link on the Board when I do.
3. ...I didn't know! I'm so sorry! No one told me I wasn't supposed to talk to the students! -flails- -

((The kind of “interactivity” that is banned on FF.net would probably be if you allowed the students to decide what they want to do, or to vote about how the story should be continued. But I have seen OFUs where the author asked the readers to apply by e-mail, not via comments, because other OFUs had been taken down when applications via comments occurred.))
((Since your phone obviously allows you to read the Board, here it goes. For the sake of readers who look at the comments, I will also post it on FF.net – in the near future. I hope you have copies of the first chapters in case they take you down for one application too much.))

Have you ever written a fanfiction for World of Warcraft?Yes /No, I’m just dreaming about it.
Have you ever written a canon/canon Warcraft pairing?Yes /No
Have you ever written a canon/OC Warcraft pairing?Yes /No, I would never dare to molest canon characters. Fallen-into-the-game OC/PC is much more interesting anyways.
Have you ever written a Mary Sue or Marty Stu?Yes / No /Not Sure, but I was young when I tried to write original fiction.
Favorite 'good' character(s) (Alliance, Horde, Knights of the Ebon Blade, etc.): Deneide Whatshername – ahh, Whisperwind, I think?
Favorite 'evil' character(s) (Scourge, Burning Legion, etc.): Sorry, I didn’t ever meet any of these guys.
Favorite 'neutral' character(s) (Red/Green/Blue/Bronze Dragonflights, taunka, etc.): This green dragon who dreams the emerald dream, can’t remember her name.
Lust Object(s): Androiaavata, my wonderful night elf druid. No, creating her had nothing to do with 'commanding a pretty slave around'! What would be the sense in playing the game if I didn’t care for the character whose life depends on my decisions? The males are all so ugly!
Ahem. You don’t really expect me to read all this, right?
By signing this application, I hereby forfeit any right I may otherwise have to my own personal health and safety under the instruction of the staff at the Official Fanfiction University of Azeroth (OFUA), whom I recognize as possessing varying levels of sanity and concern for my well-being. I recognize that while the organizers and a few instructors are generally willing to keep their torture victims as physically well as they can manage, they are by no means obligated to do anything more than resurrect me if I should die, and I will not be able to sue anyone at the Official Fanfiction University of Azeroth for any harm done to me while I am in attendance at the university. Since I am likely a) a horny little fanbrat, or b) a hot-headed, god-moding jerk with an ego the size of a Dragon Aspect, and have not actually read this all the way through, my signature also entitles any instructor at the university to feed me to the minis if, at any time during my studies, I become too annoying to put up with for the remainder of the year.

WoW of WoWcraft, you say? I've had a passing interest in the lore for some time now (although that died somewhat recently when Christie Golden took over the books >_

Yay, a fellow WoW fan! Are you caught up to SoO, or did you not get quite that far...?

Took me a few seconds for that to sink in. :P Like I said, I'm only a casual fan of the lore. Haven't played any of the games, although I've got plenty of the books. I'm keeping track of the WoW cinematics at the least, though, and I do indeed know the gist of what goes down during patch 5.4.

At the moment, I'm the same way--no computer to play on!
Although that's probably for the best; if I was ale to play, I'd probably be the first player ever to get in trouble for the amount of slobbering I'd do on the blood elves... -

Sadly, neither. My birthday is in November, so hopefully I get a new laptop then--in the meantime, I'm stuck on my cruddy little phone. I've spent the last month adjusting myself to the stupid Swype feature...

I don't think I could cope with only a phone screen ... of course, I need reading glasses to see the laptop screen, so a phone screen would really fry my eyes.
Hope you get the new laptop! -

Admittedly it's annoying at times. The worst part is that I have to use a word-processing app to write anything longer than a paragraph, then copypasta it to whatever internet window I'm trying to fill. It's tedious...
