I'm not dead... and a Plug! by

Hi guys! I see a few familiar names and a whole stack of new ones! For those of you that don't know me, I'm Drew, sister to Al's Waiter. We MST Sues. We used to be very active here on the forums, and in the PPC world in general. Jay (original PPC) and I had even started writing something together.
Anyhoo, life got busy and I kind of fell off the internet for... almost ten years. But, I'm not dead!
And a few years ago (ok, a lot of years ago!) we (AW and I) started our own original fic about the Fellowship in modern-day Canada. We had three chapters written and posted, and notes for the rest of the story. Then it got stuck. It has been revived! and chapter 4 is up and posted on ff.net! Also, just so you don't think, "Oh, one chapter, and then another 8 years of silence." No! The story is complete, and is only pending edits and a beta before being posted. Feel free to drop in.
To be honest, we're really hoping for reviews, because, well, feedback is food to a writer's soul.
Here's the link to chapter 1, so you can get up to speed.

Since we haven't met, have an Aboriginal blowgun for your housewarming gift- complete with cool feathered darts poisoned with the drool of winged kittens. I'm Len, by the way. Nice to meet you! :D

Welcome back! That is a most epic plug, and I'll try and do the concrit thing at some point.
I think I remember your name coming up, but we missed each other by a year or so. Either way - welcome back! Is very great to see you. ^^ -

AW's starting to be a little disappointed from the lack of feedback on the story. Any reviews would be appreciated. :)
And thanks for the welcome, I think I remember your name! -

Hi! I don't know you, having joined in oh, sometime around the middle of April, but welcome back anyways!
Say... can I have a link to your MSTs? They sound wonderful.

Here's a link to AW's webpage of MSTs.

I'm sure we have some more kicking around on our harddrives, so we may have to dust them off and get them going again.
Happy Reading!

Wow, it's great to see somebody older than me come back! I don't remember if we ever talked, but ten years ago I was a clueless newbie with grand ideas that never got off the ground, so it probably wouldn't have been very memorable. ^_^;
Welcome back! I hope we find you well, and vice versa. I've started reading the story, and I'll try to give some feedback tonight. {= )

Er, not that I'm one of those familiar names that Phobos mentioned, but I've been reading yours and AW's MSTs since...around the same time I discovered the PPC, so since at least five years ago. In other words, I flailed rather a lot upon reading your introduction. Welcome back!
Also, Canada. CANADA. I live there. This should be fascinating...
And, before I head off, have some Swiss Bleepolate and Gummyblee Cheeses as a welcome back gift!

Thanks for the gifts and the kind words.
Where in Canada are you? I'm within spitting distance (okay, so not quite) of the centre of egotism (Aka: Toronto) and AW's in the Windbag Capital (Ottawa).

Not a problem, not a problem. Here at DawnFire Incorporated we have many kind words to spare, and you are quite welcome to them. The gifts we also have plenty of.
Like you, I'm in a rather egotistical area (and have been for nearly a decade, actually). I once visited the Windbag Capital on a class field trip; it was kind of fun, actually.
(This is so insane, I hope you know. I never realized you guys were Canadian! Were you born here, or did you just move here a while ago? Or recently?)

Hi, Drew. We've never met, what with you disappearing 5-ish years before I got here. It is a pleasure to meet you, and I am glad that you are not only not dead, but also getting back to some unfinished projects. Both of those are generally considered to be good things. Someone is bound to be interested in your story, and feedback is almost guaranteed once you have their interest.
Please accept this bag of multi-faceted random number generators as a return gift. I'm sure some of the names you recognize will be along shortly.
