With money issues arising for three of the four people involved, we're writing this one off. We may reconvene for another attempt after spending the winter dead for tax reasons.

According to our vague previous plans, there's a Gathering planned for Saturday 31st August (ie, 2 weeks from now) in London. Is anyone still planning on coming? Cassie, Irish Samurai, I'm hoping to hear from you with definite yeses or nos; of course, anyone else is welcome to sign up too!
As to specifics of time and place: I'm thinking 12 noon to about 3, 4ish. The place I'm thinking of is this sundial, which is right next to Tower Hill station.
So - anyone?

I can't come. It's going to cost nearly £80 for day tickets to London and back from where I am, and I just cannot afford that even with the extra birthday money. I'm disappointed, I really am - I would have loved to come and see everybody, but keeping a roof over my head comes first.
I hope you guys have a good time, though. :)
If you're one of those people who values 'continued housing and food' over a handful of people from the Internet, I guess that makes sense. ;)
Seriously, it's fine. We'll think about it again next year, see if you have the money then.

I'm still gunning for a London trip sometime though, so I'll let people know when I'm heading that way.
Over 5,200 miles away with no way to get there... Sorry. It sounds amazing, though. I especially like the somewhat cryptic location. It's appropriate. :)

... people come over from the Continent specifically for Gatherings in the past. Specifically from Sweden - Ekwy and Milano, unless I'm mistaken. So it's not entirely unreasonable.

I live a rather long way away. Roughly three oceans away in fact.
I'm ~3950 miles away. If only there wasn't an ocean between me and the UK.
I live in the desert called Israel. There is another Israeli Boarder - DawnFire - but that's not enough for a Gathering.

...I can't. Like KittyEden, I live in somewhere which is 6740.23 miles away from London. (No, not Australia, I live in Singapore.) Which is sad. *Sigh*
...I live in Australia. Life's so unfair. Oooh.. are there any Boarders that live in Australia? We could arrange a gathering over here.
There's at least me. In the past there have been several others but unsure how many are still around.
I'm in Brisbane (mostly) but I'm originally from Sydney so I get down there fairly frequently (case in point, I'm in Sydney right now).

I'd actually thought the entire thing had been forgotten. Right now I'm going to say a tentative yes; my finances have become a bit more strained than usual with an unexpected extra water bill, so I will be able to give a definite answer by this time next week. I get paid on Thursday and my birthday is on Friday, so by the end of next week I will know whether or not I can afford it. I'm really hoping I can.
Since this isn't a 'people coming over' Gathering, we can always reschedule if it turns out you can't come - not a problem there! Just see where things are and we'll think about it next weekend.
