Subject: Looking to add some fluff to an in game background-thingy...

In case nobody knows, I'm developing a video game. I decided to borrow an element from Mass Effect that I loved, which was the in-game codex. Three questions about that:

Uno: Should I give all the different playable factions different catalogues of game-world-thingies?

Zwei: I need to mention the casualties somewhere, so what do you think would have more impact? Mention that few soldiers manage to live past fifteen(The conscription age), say the amount of time soldiers last on the field(Few seconds), or that the average unit has twelve million soldiers and sustains eighty-percent casualties per deployment? All of these examples come from 'The Armada' who are the main good guys. The other three allied forces are much different.

Trzy: I was going to give any accessible school(There are a few that you cane see inside of) a shooting range, in order to prepare the students to defend the school against the enemy. Do you think I should stock them with non-training ammunition? Most of the other shooting ranges have free training ammo, and I want to add some variety to the loot table.
