Subject: The idea of deconstructing Mary Sue like that...

Is, quite frankly, nothing new.
So please don't say you know one of us will steal the idea and that you will flame whomever does it in turn.
I was listening to the Bullet For My Valentine song 'Pretty On The Outside' and came up with a really cool, but really out there idea.
The thing is, I was thinking on writing a story where one of the main characters is a Mary Sue.
Yes, you read that right. A main character is a Mary Sue. Now the other main character grows interested in her (like most character do around a Mary Sue) and gets closer to her. Once he's close he realizes she has no personality and is just there to pander to the crowds. He knows there's something more and so he digs deeper into her. She warns him not to but he continues his quest.
And this is where the song comes in. To try and stop him she starts messing with his head and heart whenever she can, which kind of breaks her 'perfect' appearance.
How does this sound? Does it sound workable and would any of you guys read it?
(I know one of you guys will steal this idea, which I will flame you for, but if you do at least make it decent and not just there because you read this. Thank you)

I think of Dio as basically a Gary Stu who knows he's a Stu, and those Stu powers are what make him dangerous.

You just expressed (in a way that sounded somewhat rude) the concern that we would:
A) Steal your idea shamelessly
B) Write it on the spur of the moment without care for quality.
Those are things this whole community frowns upon, as mocking this way of writing is... well, the whole point behind the PPC.
Honestly, that was quite Not Cool.
It's possible they were just joking, but if so they need to make it clearer.
You could turn it super-meta, and have the protagonist figure out they're in a story, and figure out how to remove the Sue's influence!
I didn't really get a feel for the proposed plot beyond "boy meets Sue, likes Sue, finds out Sue, gets gaslighted by Sue."
It sounds like a pretty creepy idea, which is good if you want creepy -- but if this is a parody, it would turn it into dark humor pretty quick, and dark humor is hard to pull off. And dark humor + songfic is something I can't see going well, I'm afraid.
(I'm also not sure why you think we're going to steal your idea -- we have ideas of our own, don't worry, and it wouldn't fit with the PPC universe even if we *did* steal people's ideas.)
