The Discworld books are some of the most brilliant writing in existence, and if you haven't read them, it is your job, nay, your duty to cease whatever it is you are doing at the moment and go read them. Immediately.

More seriously, though, they are very, very good, and I'd especially recommend them to PPC members. As Jay and Acacia mention in TOS, Discworld is one of the main inspirations for the PPC, if on more of a thematic and stylistic than literal level.
