...so I was thinking doing a short series (no more than four more missions) to flesh them out some.
So, does anyone know where I can find a fic where bad writing and/or Suethor ignorance makes a Suvian, character replacement, or author wraith hard on a horse? I've ordered Horses for Dummies from the library to ensure that Éowine knows what he's talking about.
Fanfic for Black Beauty, The Black Stallion, and/or just about anything by Marguerite Henry, including but not limited to Misty of Chincoteague and King of the Wind. All good horse books that I read in my youth, and quick reads for an adult, if you want to expand your horizons.
There's also the Saddle Club series, I guess, but I think I read all of maybe two of those? I dunno. Point being, I can't vouch for the quality of the series as a whole.
I feel like I'm forgetting something... I know I read books with unicorns in them, for one thing, but I can't recall any titles at the moment. Bah. I'll let you know if my memory jogs itself.
Oh, also, I have a couple good reference books about horse breeds to hand, and I've done some reading about coat-color genetics, should that come up.
I was just one of those kids who loved horses. Never had the money for actual riding lessons, though.

But I don't know if that's one of your fandoms. I'm guessing LotR would be a good place to start, in that case. I'll keep my eye out for something.
By the way, I've been riding horses since I was little, so if you want to know something the book might not have made clear/didn't explain, just shoot me a message. (Only as long as it's not about breeds, I'm horrible with breeds. Riding and care is my thing.)
But yes, please do keep your eyes open. I'll be looking too.
Cowrites with Iximaz are the True Faith, to the point where the PPC will likely have an Ix-number for its members by the time she retires. =]

I made a sign!
It's a bit crap!
But still a sign!
I see Canterbury West has only one exit, so we'll see you there.
(So odds are the person with the sign will be arriving last. Sounds like PPC planning to me! 's why I have the t-shirt. ^_^)

I'm still up for it, although my travel plans have changed somewhat.
Instead of starting from my flat, I will now be starting from an undisclosed location, and various other travel arrangements will make it super-convenient for me to catch a much earlier train than I need to (while simultaneously making it slightly irritating to get the train that will get me there on time). I'll probably be catching a train that will get me to Canterbury around 1. Don't feel any need to alter your plans - I'll just bring a book with me.
So yeah, pretty good odds I'll be the first to arrive.
Do we have an end-time in mind? Looking at the train timetables I'll be looking to catch a train back at 18:45 or 19:40 - any later than that and I'm really pushing my luck asking for a lift for the final leg of the journey.

Given that my plan is 'get there when the car gets us there', there's no chance of my altering it.
End-time... about 6-6:30 is probably as good a time as any. I guess most things will be closed by then, and it gives you plenty of time to get back to your train.
