Maybe it's by the fact that all the missions would be linked to the agent's page, so I assumed you need a page first.

Maybe it's by the fact that all the missions would be linked to the agent's page, so I assumed you need a page first.
..and I'm wondering: How do you change the link so it's not a normal link? Like the links that everyone is making, with the words that they type?
You generally want them to have appeared in at least one PPC story, or else there's no point in them having pages.
But I thought I had to make a page before posting a story on the Board...

Not much point in writing the missions if you don't share them with the Board. {= ) See also this help article for more on what to do when you finish your first, or any, mission.

Help:Editing. Should answer this and any other questions about editing the wiki. Also, if you go into Source Mode, you'll be able to see the formatting other people have used.
Go to your preferences page and click the Editing section. Then you can set your preferred editor to Source editor.
The Editing Help page currently says this about switching to Source Mode:
To switch to Source mode in the classic Wikia Editor, simply click the "Source mode" tab at the upper right corner of the toolbar. To switch to Source mode in VisualEditor, click the drop-down menu button in the toolbar and select "Source mode" from the menu.
Is that all correct? Someone please let me know if it's out of date again. Thanks.

Maybe it is out of date.
I tried again, and I got the VisualEditor as I remember it. I guess I actually was in classic mode before for some reason. Maybe because my connection is being crappy, I dunno.
Anyway, ONE of the two methods described should work, depending on which editor you're using. If you're not sure, here's Wikia's help articles for the classic editor and VisualEditor. They tell you how to switch to source mode with helpful visual aids that I can't replicate.
Or you can just take Tira's suggestion and select source mode as your default in the Editing tab of your account preferences. It's what I'd advise, too.

I switched on VisualEditor in my preferences and took a look at the edit screen, and I don't see the drop-down menu button anymore. It was stupid, so maybe they got rid of it. Instead, there are tabs that say Source and Visual above the toolbar on the right, like in the classic editor. Do you see that?

Hope that's all sorted out now. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have about wiki-editing, BTW. This thread is fine, e-mail is fine, and I have a section of my Talk page reserved for it, too. {= )
