What do ye do when a fanfic involves two contradicting pieces of canon? An example I can give is Metroid, namely the canon of the Metroid manga vs. the canon of the Metroid: Other M.
First of all, Other M was a huge heaping pile of trash and never happened because it's a rehash of Fusion and thus makes Samus look like an idiot for not realizing that BSL was yet another bottle ship
If the fanfic is clearly based in the game, you use game canon (and apply the same logic if it's set in the manga).
I guess it is impossible to make two conflicting canon mash well in a fanfic since you'd have to change some details to make it work (also how do you the slash line?).
In that case, my planned Metroid fanfic needs some heavier re-thinking. Looks like it's the AU route.
The markup on the Board is HTML. You need the sharp angle brackets you get from holding shift and pressing the period and comma keys.
Replacing them with parentheses for this example, the markup is (s)The text you want struck through(/s).
The result, when you replace the parentheses with those brackets, is thus: The text you want struck through.
