Yup, it's another one! Posted on the front page, though, since the Plort thread has sadly been pushed off.
"Linguistics" records a meeting between Baron T. Ampelius and Knight Eshakhar, following the announcement of a certain baronial courtship.
It was co-written with Desdendelle, and was a lot of fun.

I like the descriptions of the magic, especially.
While I'm here, you know that castle you wanted? Any idea where you'd like to build it? The map's wide open.

Worldbuilding is fun. by

We both really enjoyed writing this piece, especially because of the worldbuilding and magic-system-ing.
That said... Can I get your help with turning the thread into a (somewhat) coherent GDoc? It seems to have mostly petered out. -
How much of it needs to be G-Doc-ified? by

Are you just looking at the Council sub-thread, or are you assuming that side conversations (like Hieronymus' arguments with Thanasius and Karrin) took place in the same location?
I think it'd be most fun to follow the example of the Snowfight and the Fifth Anniversary party: write a full story with the speeches from the thread. It involves a certain amount of rejigging of the structure, naturally.
That, or turn it into a 'minutes of the Baronial Council' document: half-playscript, with dryly snide comments from the note-taker.
Baron Phobos (P. of Borrd) entered into the discussion, proposing that certain lands be annexed to his barony.
Phobos: 'I believe that much of this Council is too far from the affected areas to take stewardship of them. Those whose lands are closer are either absent or engrossed in their work, as my Lady Wife can attest. Therefore, the only Baron who might take stewardship is my self, and I move that this council cede all the lands currently under Baron Araeph's control, and those held by Baron Cassie, into my care. The "Baron" Kaitlyn may keep possession of her fantasy nation, for the time being.
'I think you will find that this is the most logical course of action. Upon your, undoubtedly unanimous, consent, I will immediately send trusted Knights and willing citizens to begin farming the land. You will have the grain your armies need.'
Needless to say, this did not go down terribly well with his peers.
And so on and so forth.
(If you're thinking 'that would make a great format for a '2015 Baronial Council' Cyclopaedia page'... then you're right, it kind of would. ^_^)

Pst, are you sure that the Baron has left? by

Because I feel no desire to give me into his hands, but I must report a small mistake:
“Well,” he he said, then paused.
One "he" too much.
The song creating a lilac is sweet. And your talk about the price that must be paid for magical power made me wonder what the hermit may have sacrificed for his apparent expertise in Apparition and Invisibility. It may be the ability to stay visible and in one place for an extended period of time.
