How much a character can be thrown OOC by being mentioned, let alone by a cameo. For example - I'm sporking a fic that throws a character OOC by mentioning him being condescending to his protege, who's also the second-best friend of his (adopted) little sister. The fic does that in a couple sentences. Length has nothing to do with this.
