I might do that, or the previous ideas, but either way it's a good suggestion!

It doesn't exist, and I'd like to write it! I've already started thinking of classes and my fanwriter, both of which Iximaz has helped me out on. However, it will be a while before I can begin writing, as I want to binge-watch all of the movies and really immerse myself in Disney.
If you know any cool trivia that could play into an OFU, have an idea for a course, or just general advice, I'd love to hear it!
(By the way, if this thread appears twice, I apologize. My computer derped while I was posting, so I tried again.)
I highly encourage you to talk to SkarmorySilver and check out Karalora's fanfic "Crowns of the Kingdom". I recommend the fanfic because in addition to an awesome adventure through Disneyland, the author makes sure to let the readers know where she gets her information from at the end of various chapters. That should help you find out more about the parks and stuff. :)
...the major reason for this being that when I tried getting a Disney OFU to work, even after I asked the Board about it, said attempt at establishing the OFU ended up being inconsistent with... well, everything to do with the PPC, basically. There really isn't any way I can think of to get an OFU that blanket-covers such a massive collection of various disparate continua to work. Additionally, the closest two things I can think of to a canon Disney mega-crossover would be Kingdom Hearts, which is a continuum of its own which I'm guessing would likely have an OFU already, and Disney Infinity, which has no direct canon transplants and revolves entirely around its Amiibo-like toybox playstyle. (Granted, there ARE Disney Infinity books that show the canons interacting, but that's probably non-canon because their toy counterparts are the ones involved.)
OFUs in general, AFAIK, are based off a specific continuum or, at least in the case of the OFU of Crossovers, a type of fanfic genre. I've been told of OFUs cropping up for pretty specific fandoms, and they seem to be doing quite nicely by themselves, so that means an OFU that serves as a sort of "hub-campus" for say, everything to do with Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, or Disney/Pixar for that matter, as amazing as it would be, would sadly be entirely unnecessary in-universe, and way too complicated to keep track of besides.
BTW, eatpraylove, thanks for the fanfic rec! I'll remember to check out that story sometime. :)
Originally, you had animated movies from Dreamworks (HTTYD), Pixar (The Incredibles), and Disney (various others, mostly princesses). Then you tried to change it to Disney Infinity without knowing the canon.
Alleb's just focusing on the Disney Princesses, it looks like. Big difference.
The initial concept I had in mind was based in the logic that there would have to be some OFU to cover all the general topics about animated movie or Disney fanfic, but again, there isn't a need for that in-universe. As noted, Infinity was the only Disney mega-crossover I could think of as being canonical, but at the same time it... isn't.
From what you've noted, it seems like the scope of Alleb's take on the project is far narrower, which is a plus, though that still leaves the question of why an OFU for Disney in general would exist alongside those for specific continua. I hope an explanation for this can be provided because aside from that issue, I would really like to see how a Disney OFU would be handled. And if it helps any, my skills or lack thereof in handling OFUs is more than made up for by my knowledge of Disney, and assuming my schedule doesn't get in the way, I'd be happy to be a beta reader for this endeavor. If only as a canon and SPaG expert.
Even though there are separate entries for the different movies, there's a catch-all category on the Pit for Disney, under cartoons, and that's what I'll be dealing with. I'll look at the others so I can get a good understanding on what needs to be taught, but justifying the mega-crossover isn't hard. Not to mention they're all mixed together in the parks, and in the merchandise.
A canon expert would be great! I can't make any statements about schedules- I don't even know when I'll be able to begin writing. But when I do, a canon consultant will be awesome!
Because Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, of course!
so no. But I am planning on having a class by all of the "forgotten" characters, Oswald included.
I absolutely love the parks- I can't wait to read it!
I'd recommend checking out the Nostalgia Critic's Disneycember videos. They're fun, and you'll pick up some interesting trivia.
As for the question of minis, my first thought is the demons from the "Night on Bald Mountain" segment in Fantasia. If you subscribe to the "Friends and the High Council" theory (which I find amusing), Chernabog is the biggest bad in the unified Disney multiverse, so what better to use than his minions?
Alternatively, every film is its own universe and gets its own minis. Have fun with that!
~Neshomeh
Alternatively, what about mini-Brooms? A friend of mine suggested it. I think a different mini from every film would be a bit hard to juggle, although it would be rather fun.
…achieve true love so quickly? And why it wouldn't work in real life (as shown when the students practice and fail)?
But wait! What kind of Minis will you use? There are many monsters in the land of Disney, after all.
Thanks! Minis are going to be fun- like I said to Neshomeh, maybe mini-demons or mini-Brooms.
I might do that, or the previous ideas, but either way it's a good suggestion!
