Because I really hope it's not. For those of you that don't know, it's the Matrix sequels for Star Trek: Voyager. I couldn't find any conclusive evidence that it hasn't been exiled from continuity, but it gets no acknowledgment later on, either, and pretty much everyone involved with producing it wishes it never happened, so I'm not sure if it should be counted as canon or not.

Not sure exactly what you mean by Matrix sequels, I've never seen those movies.

As far as its canon status is concerned, it's never been officially declared non-canon. According to the Agony Booth, it was unofficially declared uncanonical, but I'm not sure that's a particularly reliable source. Apparently there's a line in "Dark Frontier" that supports this.

Feel free to pretend it never happened; it seems that the rest of the Star Trek franchise has chosen to.

I'm doing some stuff involving trek, and I'd really like to pretend this episode never happened. On two other notes, you are mostly correct, as Tom Paris turns into a newt, not a lizard. Same difference, though. As for the Matrix sequels, well, best to pretend those never happened. If you mention them around a Matrix fan, it's said that they grow fur and fangs, and are driven into a rage as they attempt to track down and destroy all known copies of the sequels. But, yeah, I'll just ignore Threshold. I doubt anyone on here would have a problem with that.
