I remember that episode, but where exactly did it make fun of the Zutaaara ship?

Hey my roomate a huge avatar: the last airbender fan. Mentioned a fanfic called "How I became yours" a Zuko/Katara fic which is infamous in the fanbase as an example of what not to do when writing a fic. I want to know has anyone heard of this fic or known if it's been the subject of a mission?
...but you could always browse through the Claimed Badfic and Killed Badfic lists to find out. The only problem I could see with sporking a fic that has become an example that way is that it has probably been MST'd so many times already that it wouldn't be anything new. Then again, that may not be the case with this fic. I'm speaking only from experiences in other fandoms.
But if it hasn't been claimed or killed already, you're up for that kind of challenge, and it hasn't already had all of the snarking potential sucked out of it by previous MSTers, I'd say go for it!

If the Flowers allowed for sporkings based solely on uncanonical premises, then this would take the cake! Zuko/KATARA?! Really? Has the author even watched the series? That premise breaks two canon relationships: Aang/Katara and Zuko/Mai!
*deep breath*
OK. Rant over.
I actually have no problem with this pairing.
Had Zuko not gone over to Azula's side in Ba Sing Se, it could have happened. In fact, I thought that's where it was going. I knew Zuko needed to join the Avatar and that would have been a good time. In his conversation with Katara, he managed to break through her hatred and form a rapport with her. She even goes so far as to offer to use her Water-Of-Heal-Everything to fix his scar. That is not something she would do lightly. The reason Katara felt so betrayed later in the episode was because she had made a strong connection to Zuko through their shared hardships, and he threw it away. She felt so betrayed that she actually hated him more in the final season than she had before. Had there been nothing there (I admit that a budding romance is not the only option, but it is an option), she would not have hated him so much.
So, there you go. Someone who has watched the series and, having analyzed it, believes that this could be a legitimate pairing.

I don't have anything against well-written Zutara AUs. The problem is just that, most of the time, these shipfics are not well-written.
(Not to mention that I kinda doubt a twelve-year-old's ability to distinguish love from a shallow crush, but that's more of a subjective opinion.)
Have you seen A:TLA shipping? The shippers are ruthless. I've never seen it in any other fandom. Zutara is actually extremely popular for some reason, though I fail to see the point. The show itself made fun of the ship!
I have not gotten to the point where I look for badfic yet. In general, I look for fanfic in continua that ended in cliffhangers (e.g. Animorphs); continua that are open to new stories (e.g. Phoenix Wright); or continua that have yet to have a new addition to the series, thus opening the floodgates of imagination as to what the new edition will/should look like (e.g., Kingdom Hearts until recently).
So, long-winded explanation aside, no, I have not seen A:TLA shipping. In fact, I had no idea about it until I saw the TVTropes page linked on this board: Who new that there were so many rabid shippers (and *shudders* slashers)?
BTW, where did the show make fun of the Zutara ship?
That's where the show made fun of everything else about the fandom, so it's not surprising.
Plus, it's just a fun episode all around, because of how inaccurate a job the Ember Island players do at telling the story, all the meta-humor, and seeing the main characters react. Plus, there's Elderly Prop Guy, the unsung hero of the play and apparently the Ember Island Players' entire stage crew. I just like Elderly Prop Guy.
I remember that episode, but where exactly did it make fun of the Zutaaara ship?
'Katara' engages in flirting with 'Zuko.'
And yes, I'm surprised as well that you've never heard of the A:TLA shipping wars. It's so famous, there are multiple comic series, fics, *everything* devoted to ridiculing it.
I only got into fanfiction about two or three years ago, and that to find a goodfic continuing the Animorphs series. And given what I said before on this very thread, it becomes no surprise that I have not run across A:TLA shipfic; I had neither the motivation nor the opportunity to get caught up in it.
But thanks to this thread, a few clicks on TVTropes helped me get to the highlights of this (in)glorious war.
From the trope page, no less- http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Webcomic/HowIBecameYours?from=Main.HowIBecameYours
Not sure how it'd be sporked in a mission, though, since it's a webcomic, but...
That's an interesting question, thus a source of laughs. Perhaps the World will be like stop-animation? Or maybe the agents physically have to traverse from panel to panel, like in the video game Comix Zone.
Someone really should take a shot at this!
