Des has a pretty good idea of how Thanasius' magic works; I kept prodding him for info on it. :P

Because of all the hype (and also because we think Plort's a fun idea and we had fun writing this) we wrote another Tale of Plort. We thank Scapegrace and Firemagic for their beta services.
Oh, we also need a better title, so if anybody has any idea...
At least, I think he's the person to talk to about Plort.
Anyway, could you shoot me your e-mail address? I'd like to submit Ser Dylan Read for approval.
In general, characters are only added to the Cyclopaedia in the official Plort thread, which will be coming in June.
I think a couple of people have been added 'out of season' as it were, but... well, it's only a month away! :D Is there any specific reason you want to be in right now?
(Also: not 'approval'. Everything is automatically 'approved'. All I do is keep the records and draw the heraldry. Oh, and advise when things don't fit the established structure of things.)

Also, I kinda wasn't aware of Official Plort Threads. Oops?
At any rate, I eagerly await Plort RP. Hopefully I don't screw it up as badly as I screwed up in the last few RPs, eheheh.
Once a year, there is an Official Plort Thread. This is where the Baronial Council semi-RP happens. It's also the only place I'll offer open services in making heraldic devices; I've always preferred to keep that in one place/time.
That thread will include people telling the story of their characters. No doubt it will also include people playing small RPs on the side; that's kind of a given for the PPC.
There's no grand, all-encompassing RP, though. In fact, I'm not sure how there could be - the place is an island 240 miles long, for Kanun's sake! There's no excuse for dragging everyone together that wouldn't remove a lot of the fun from things.
What Plort is, ultimately, is a setting. RPs spring up from time to time - apparently Iximaz and her peons cohort friends have been doing quite a few in their spare time - but there's no Grand RP.
(Honestly, given how weirdly popular the whole thing has been, the annual thread thing could be a non-starter; I might have to give in to inevitability and just open the whole thing up for year-round editing. But that's wooooork...)
Anyway: if you'd like me to check over your incarnation for 'canon' trouble, I can do so - huinesoron at hotmail dot com is probably the best address.

I'd like to have more to do with Plort, but Ser Dylan Read may need some more work.
Great work on the Tale. In particular, I liked the world-building aspects of the different forms of magic, and seeing interaction between two new leaders stepping into their roles while defending the realm was quite interesting.
I'm a big fan of Thanasius now - while he may be a hypocrite at times when it comes to self-sacrifice, that same spirit of service to keep others from harm makes him a very noble leader indeed. I look forward to seeing more of Plort in the future!
(As for titles, how about "Birds of a Feather"? It fits thematically, as well as punnily.)
I like the extra info about magic (or at least Thanasius' magic - we've got how many different models now?), and I really liked the, um, actual writing! Fun to read.
Though it did give me the distinct impression that Baron Thanasius and Lady Iximaz will be walking the wharfs down in Borrd at the next Ship-Fest, if you know what I mean. ^_~

I want to join in
The next Ship-Fest, or the next Plort RP?
If you're talking about the RP, that will be sometime in June. Hopefully early! *elbows hS*
As for the Ship-Fest, that's an in-universe thing that represents our annual PPC Shipficfest (which happened... last month?). I don't think there have been any in-universe detailings of the Ship-Fest, but if someone wants to write it before I get to it first, go ahead!
(By the way, you might want to watch your punctuation; it seems to have run off.)
